could firmware 2.4 in summer be an early april fools joke?

summer is a few months away now im no software dev but im pretty sure its impossable to know what number the firmware will be this far in advance unless its finished. if there is still months left ,sony must be doing something with it and if they are doing work then there is a chance it could move to 2.5 or up. but in the post made by that sony guy he sounded pretty sure it would be 2.4 and for an update this big there is a higher chance of mistakes being made or issues needing correcting which all have a risk of making firmware number higher.

firmware updates come out on a tuesday (not ps store updates but system firmware updates) and the first day of april falls on a tuesday this year. the 1st of april being april fools day do you think they are just lieing to us and giving it to us on april fools day? i know its supposed to be a day of tricks but perhaps sony are tricking us now and are waiting until the 1st to let us have it

we're currently a v2.10 and theres a .3 gap to v2.40
