WEP and WPA are security measures that secure the wireless connection. The user must input a password - or "key" - to gain access to the connection. To use a wireless connection without a key, one must find an access point without any security. When this happens, the security measure will read "None", instead of, for example, "WEP". There are legal and ethical issues with this, though. Some access points are purposely open for public use, and some are open due to the users not knowing how to secure the network. One would have to check one's local laws for the legal side, and one would have to consider the ethical aspect of using without permission another user's network connection. Purposely open wifi access points often block access to websites that may be bandwidth intensive or potentially obscene, so sites like YouTube may not be available to access. Secondly one has to cope with the PSP's limited memory: sites like Google Maps don't work well at all with the handheld.

Yes, but you can't fit a laptop in your pocket. I agree, for serious browsing, a laptop is the best portable method. However, aside from more expensive phones or PDAs, the PSP is one of the cheapest ways to get on the Web wirelessly.

Yes, you can. Personally, i love the browser. Typing is like texting on a cell phone, after a while you can type fast no problem. And the speed isn't that horrendous...just remember the days when you couldn't get highspeed internet =D.

Dude, why don't you just do a little research before making a new thread?  You could have easily found this out...

Yes I could, and I still can.

But I just stepped over to a new provider (Tiscali) And It's HORRIBLE. Webpages load half the speed I had with my last provider. Lazy ]3a5terd5 at Tiscali :)
