i was seriously just about to get a PS3 like next weekend, but after M$'s press conference, i was just left for WOW i mean obviously all the games that are coming out are great, but FFXIII...are u freaking kidding me??? i like the 360 more than the PS3, but i honestly did not want FFXIII to come to the 360....i really wanted to get a PS3 for this game, but now that it's coming to the 360, idk if i'm interested as much right now ok, there is MGS4 and in ur guys' mind it may be the "best" gamer ever...but ONE game is not worth an entire console...so, what else to get now? i LOVE ratchet and clank, but i heard the new one just doesn't have the same feeling as the others, which would suck if true uncharted looks good, but i think one playthrough and i'd be done with that everything else right now on the PS3 is on the 360....so idk what to do i mean i got two options...get a PS3 NOW with MGS4 and MAYBE ratchet and that's about it....OR i could upgrade my 360 HDD to a 60GB (120GB is kinda ridiculous, but if i can get on on ebay that'd be sweet) and then get a bunch of games like too human, fable 2, Gears 2, RE5, banjo, and so on and so forth....and THEN later on in the future when say god of war III comes out, THEN get a PS3 sigh...idk, 360's press conference just blew me away well...i think 2mrow night is when i'll decide...i hope sony has something good in store to counter-act M$'s press conference to make me get a PS3 now...if not, then it'll prolly be another year before i get one what do u guys think? PS3 now for only essentially 2 games for quite awhile OR Upgrade 360 HDD and get a TON of games this holiday and THEN get a PS3 when a bit cheaper and more exclusives have hit the shelf?

why not just buy it for the ps3? just cuz its going to the 360 doesn't mean its not gonna be on the ps3... i have both systems, and im getting it for the ps3... exclusives come and go, final fantasy was on nintendo until VII where it went to Sony

If Home is in the top three (from the sounds of it) I say wait 'till it hits. By then, who knows? Maybe Home will suck (not saying it will, but who knows 'till it hits). Also, by then the library will have grown and you might even have an HDTV by than to boot. It could make the whole experience more worth while. As someone else pointed out, if you have to ask, you might be ready to make the $500 plunge just yet;)

I personally would just save up the money because why use up $100s for something that you're TRYING to find a reason to buy? Just wait and see what's going to happen with the consoles. If you are at all interested in Blu-ray, then get a PS3 because Blu-ray movies will basically be standard (it is becoming now). I purchased a PS3 primarily for the Blu-ray and... for Final Fantasy XIII, but that's alright that the game is on Xbox360 too... it doesn't bother me. I don't quite understand why people are getting so pissed about it going to Xbox360 also... it's like saying they don't want a group of unknown people to play it.
But also... your interest in Ratchet & Clank? I personally really enjoy the game. I have finished the game and am still finding myself wanting to play it (now in Challenge mode). All of the gadgets are fun to use and the game itself is light-hearted and very well done.

It was well worth the wait for me, and its only 4 hours or whatever people are down too now if you skip the cutscenes and are incredible at the game.
If you want a Ps3 and MGS4, go for it. Im sure you'll find more games out there you will want soon. Its the summer drought though, so you probably aren't getting anything new for 360 anyways, might as well get some ps3 games, since you've never played them for the most part.
lol you wre thinking of getting a console for FFXIII but now its multiplat you would rather not go for a PS3 because its not worth getting for one game (MGS4)...? tbh its your choice but by the way you right you are looking for a reason to get a PS3 to justify your purchase.. just go for it in that case its a good system and you'll enjoy it, but you have to remember FFXIII is still on the PS3 so don't get all worked up about it being on the 360.

I got my PS3 last week and i havn't regreted it at all.
I own a 360 as well and I love them both equally. MGS4, Little Big Planet, God of War3, Kingdom Heats 3, FFXlll are games that really got me to buy a PS3.
I'm a pretty hard core gamer, if you can shell out the bucks to get a PS3 then i would do it.
You will defently find some PS3 exclusive games down the road and hey, if you have both consoles you can buy any game that comes out.

FFXIII is exclusive no more? wow I guess SE must need the money and I don't think its a completely bad thing for the company to make the game multiplat because the more they sell the more they make and it makes them that much more likely to put out another good game that much more quickly but its gotta hurt sony.
I wouldn't be surprised if MS didn't even pay SE to get the game on the system becuase SE needs the money from what I can tell. Maybe Sony just wouldn't cough up enough to keep it exclusive.
Gotta keep in mind thought that the online play is free with ps3 now if MS annouced free online I would be blown away. They have not announced that by the way have they?

Well if you have a HDTV. The blueray player is nice. Hell also pick up mgs4. But Ya i Nearly Craped my paints when i heard the ff13 news. I am so happy but so pissed because i too plained on buying the ps3 for ff13. But hell i can get achievements for the game. I just hope the 360 version is more than one disc so i can get a true hd Experience.
Well i can certainly see why this would make you pause and re-evaluate your purchase but atleast with a ps3 you dont have to worry about the red rings of death. Good luck with your decision.
