They moved onto the Jack Liscense. Also, like all human beings, they like money.

Well, Naughty Dog and Insomniac are friendly rivals. ND made the Crash franchise and Insomniac made Spyro. After the PS2 launch both companies saught out a differerent vision.ND and Insomniac both sold their platformer franchise(Spyro and Crash) to Vivendi games. They wanted a new platformer for the PS2 so ND developed Jak and Daxter, and Insomniac developed Ratchet and Clank. I guess both companies wanted to try new things.
Vivendi thought they could sell Spyro and Crash because they were so popular, but soon realized they were a terrible company. They usually buy franchises, but don't have the development team to make the gameplay half decent...that's why the PS2 Spyro and Crash games sucked so bad.
This history lesson has been brought to you by lariz. Good night.
Sierra(who made Glich in the System) is making a new Crash game for every system exept the PS3.

that is the reason why i played the first one and then never played any of them after thatdstryr13
Crash 2 and 3 were both Naughty Dog and both were awesome.
ND and Insomniac can easily buy the license back, they just don't want it. Sure Crash and Spyro were kind of like icons to the Playstation, but we have to move on and give our newest platformers the crown(Jak and Ratchet).
I would rather have Crash 1~2~3~racing and Spyro 1~2~3 on the PSN sometimes next year instead of having a new game. Change is sometimes a bad thing, I don't think I'd be able to enjoy them with these new graphics.
Naughty Dog never owned the IP to begin with, nor did Insomniac own the Spyro IP. They were both owned by Vivendi Universal who has subsequently turned them into utter garbage making them irrelevant.Runningflame570
Yes that's true, but it really doesn't matter anymore since the license was given to Radical Ent.
