Crazy people with headsets

I played my first game against someone who had a headset in Fight Night Round 3...wow, some people take it seriously.

Anyways, when ever I got some good shots in he would be mumbling something, then when i cheapshotted him he went on a rant. Whenever he ko'd me, he'd start yelling "you suck. you're just a loser. you fail. thats right, loser."

Anyone else ever get their ego crushed by a person with a headset?

Btw, i couldnt defend myself because i dont have a headset, would a USB Karoke Revolution (ps2) headset work?

PS2 usb cable headsets are supposed to work. but maybe you should just plug it in and check or do a quick google search. theres PS3 headset lists everywhere

I never use headset unless it's a teambased or a multiplayer session.  When it's one on one it gets too personal.

headsets are only good for team based games.  I'm used to all the nasty words from people by playing on Xbox Live alot so it doesn't bother me.  But there is no reason to use a headset for one on one matches especially in boxing or fighting games.  I wouldn't let some punk trash talk you out of getting a headset or at least using one.  Don't let it get to you.

Headsets are kind of pointless in 1 on 2 competition games. They're great for team-based games, but I have no idea why someone would want to wear one just to listen to some jerk trash talk them.

I know this this on the other side of things, but my friend of a friend who plays halo online with a headset screams racial slurs at people cause he thinks it's funny when they get pissed off

A lot of people don't seem 2 notice that the PS2 eyetoy works as a PS3 microphone...and yeah, i agree 100%with ivan5, but that's just the kind of people we have in the world, and the rest of us have to learn to put up with them because they're too dumb to see that racism is wrong...

Yeah most people get a little 2 crazy with their headsets and start talking trash to anyone they see. I use a bluetooth headset
