Im not exactly sure how you would be able to commit a crime on Home and I dont see why you would want to. It would be good to make your avatar look dangerous and whatever like a criminal though. Mercenaries style.
You should be allowed to commit crimes on the PS3's Home, with punishments, of course (if you're caught). What do you think?urazn13
I bet you're the type of person that if you walk past a car with it's windows down.. you want to see what you can rob inside the car right? I walk past it and dont even think twice.
I've heard worse ideas. Think about it. If you could steal, for example, then whatever you steal would be put into some kind of vault that tracks what you've stolen and people can view that. You can also set up, i dont know, security systems to gaurd against criminals. Cameras, alarms, gaurd dogs, even security gaurds. Maybe playing certain games or doing certain stuff in games could unlock new stuff: Gear, abilities, etc. But then Home would just turn into one big gigantic mini-game sort of thing and I dont think thats what Sony is shooting for.
so home is going to be like Second Life where all your stuff has to be paid for?????????? Count me out if thats the case.... I am NOT about to pay for and furnish a virtual reality "apartment."  I'd rather spend my hard earned dollars on real surround sound systems and couches, not fake ones for people i've never even met to "sit" on them.
Oh is home like a virtual life where you can play the person you wish you were? I think that could attract alot of people...lol poor people, need a virtual world....i thought we own video game systems not virtual life replacments...lol it is like the matrix, i see which pill all you want to take ;)
I can already see people running through lobbies in their bare minimum shouting obscenities though their headsets just to be annoying. Though, I would imagine there would be some kind of Moderation or a reporting function for that. Could you imagine if mods on home had avatars and had to physically chase you down when you were caught breaking rules?

lol. and the mods' Avatars would be Cops and FBI and so on :D haha
Figuring how much more in Oblivion decide to robs people houses or kill them in their sleep, Home would turn into total chaos and everyone would just enter everyone's house. Other people would just get mad because they always get robbed, so they wouldn't buy anything else, which is not what Sony wants.

lol. the magic word "when" should also be at the GTA part. we would enjoy that WHEN it comes out :P and Seeing as Home and GTA IV is.. two .. VERY different things (seeing as i wouldn't call home a "game" really)Â so i would get both :D
Yeah that's a great idea. Lets ruin our very expensive to develop online community service by letting people ruin other peoples' experiences with crimes. That'll really attract users. Somebody at Sony will be contacting you shortly to offer you a job because you my friend are quite the brain child.
i think titus_WoWplayer is on the right track as to what home is really about, but i think its more like a sims online type thing. only its a little more user friendly. you wont have to pay for all the furniture but you will have to pay small amounts to unlock better furniture and to expand on your home. you will also be able to unlock special clothing and furniture depending on what games you own. and you can also show some of the achievments you have gotten in games.
You're the reason we can't use our own images online for avatars and such. Its people like you that would upload some nudey pic and get peope all angry and asking for a ban. Grow up. There's games you can buy/rent that let you steal. Ever heard of Grand Theft Auto?
