So i saw this game was being released on March 25th, but my question is, can i enjoy this game if i don't have an prior knowledge of the rest of the series. Like the only other FF i have played is tactics. I know that it will probabley be most enjoyable to those that have followed the series, but will i be lost at all? i don't have a ps2, so i can't go back and play the rest of the series.

Thanks!

Most final fantasys dont relate to each other in terms of the story so No, You will not be lost at all.

This one is However a Pre-quel to FF7.. Since it is a Prequal you will be fine..

After you finish it if you enjoy it you can play FF7, Dirge of Cerberus for Ps2, and watch the movie FF7 Advant Children

I don't think you'll be lost because it's a prequel to FF VII but it will ruin plot twists in FF VII if you plan on playing it.

Without spoiling anything how will playing this game ruin plot twists from FFVII?

Well, you'll sort of lose out on the entire nostalgia factor on the entire thing and a lot of things assume you already know about them so they don't go into depth about some things. Also, playing FFVII CC before the actual FFVII will ruin the game's story completely as it will take out the entire plot twist and the mysteries that happen in the game. So, no, play FFVII first. It holds up surprisingly well compared to today's RPGs.

I pre-ordered it this Saturday :) You get to take home the pre-order case that they have there which is all metalic, which was worth the $5 for me alone, lol. I can't wait to pick the game up.

FFVII:CC is a prequel to FFVII. So no you shouldn't be lost. Since most Final Fantasys don't have a continuation of story line except for ( FFX,FFX-2,FFVII:CC,FFVII,FFVII:AC,FFVII: DOC. )
