i'd like to pick up a new psp game today, but can't decide b/w these three. i know they are three vastly different genres/styles, but they all seem appealing to me. what has the best pick up and play feel and is easy to get into?

Haven't played any of those, but I'd say God Of War.

Personally i would choose Jean D'Arc becuz it has

1.Depth of story

2.PRICE!!!!!!!! (Compared to the other two)

BUT

i got alotta games so i could just wait tell those games come down to 20 bucks or less

And i would suggest God Of War As a second choice becuz it has the story, gameplay & graphics it is what it is a great game

I completely disagree with God of War.. It may be a cool game, but its at best a rental.. Its not worth the full price when the total gameplay time to it, amasses some where between the 5 to 8 hours length..

gow is fun. i know ppl say its short but it has a lot of replay value. your gunna want to play it atleast twice through. plus, the challenge of hades adds a good 1-3 hours to it if you try and beat those. also, the graphics are killer.

First Choice: Crisis Core. Second choice: Jeanne D'Arc. Finally: God of War.

Crisis Core and Jeanne D'Arc will give you far more gaming hours than God of War will. I beat God of War in under 6hours...and that was taking my time finding everything I could. I have no reason to play through it again. Crisis Core and Jeanne D'Arc on the other hand are much longer, lasting you at least 20hrs each. All you have to ask yourself if what you want more: A tactical game (Jeanne), a pure action game (God of War), or an Action RPG (Crisis Core). I'd get God of War later...when it drops to $20..which is guaranteed to happen at some point.

All are great games, but all are also very different from one another. Check them all out, if you can.

Depends really, GoW is a game that's truly divided people. I was sort of disappointed in it's length, but it's the only handheld game I've ever felt the urge to complete numerous times. It truly does feel like a console game on a handheld. I don't know about CC yet though, not out for quite a while in the UK. But I have it preordered, to get a special edition version, and it'll be my first FF so should be good.

God of War.

But let's be honest. It doesn't matter which of those you choose; you'll be making a good choice anyway.

well, thanks for all the feedback so far. i went to gamestop yesterday, but they were sold out of both crisis core and god of war. they did have jean d'arc, but i couldn't pull the trigger, considering it was getting the fewest recommendations from you all. i'm still pretty torn on this one...i worry that i may get bored with crisis core if it drags on or sends me on fetch quests at some point...but don't want to get gow and be done with it after a week or two. i guess i could resell it or rent it. ugh, i'm horrible at making pointless decisions...

quick question....do i need to have played FF VII in order to understand the story in CC? i never owned the original PS and so never got through that game. i did play it on my ps2 for a short while during the launch lull, but didn't get too far before i moved on to "teh betta graphix". thanks for the replies!

Crisis Core, hands down. You don't have to have plyed VII, that might even improve the experience.

If you had played FFVII, I would have recommended Crisis Core, but I highly recommend playing FFVII first. You don't need to have played it, but in my opinion, it makes the story of Crisis Core a whole lot more effective.

I would have to recommend God of War and to play FFVII before you get CC, its worth waiting to play.
