Lol it makes me mad. I googled it before this thread and i see things back in 2009, and i realize that is it really that hard to release a cross-game chat. Xbox has it...and i hate not being able to talk to my friends just because they are in a different game.
So hasit been confirmed that its in the making? Also and idea - I havent tryed this yet!
For those with mics: If you go to a friend and choose start chat room or w/e its called you can select voice chat - does it work the same as party chat in a way?
I can't stand cross game chat, Never understood it, why talk to people in other games??? What's the point??? Does anyone know whet a phone is for anymore? Exactly that, use it and call them. Cross game chat takes away from XBL a lot and personally I feel you'll be lucky to go into a game and find many people talking because everyone's in their own "Cross game chat" .... stupid and not needed feature. Please keep it on the 360 while I enjoy the PS3

I can't stand spending extended lengths of time on the phone, so really never had an urge to speak to strangers over a gaming network. Like to co op and send occasional message, but chatting just ain't for me.
First of all extended times on the phone is annoying, second of all, it's a hassle to get all your friends all on the phone. Third of all having a convo on the phone makes even harder to communicate in-game, since you can't really wear your headset. There's a reason why it's the most asked for thing for the ps3, and it's not "because you can easily replace it by opening a phone." On top of that, not a lot of people have unlimited talk nor can they afford it, and skype, not everyone has a computer next to their ps3 or a laptop to bring next to it.
