Sorry to make another Crysis 2 Topic but how is the multiplayer? Is it balanced, are the maps fun, how does the MP run on the PS3. Every review I read only talks about the 360 and the graphics. I just want fun gameplay.

it is kinda balanced, i mean it feels like COD to me, the customization are loads of fun cuz u get a crap load.... but to be honest with u, the MP doesnt make me want it more as in to keep going back to it. but thats cuz im hooked on kz3 MP. if u wanted or was thinking of getting the game for ur ps3, then yea id say go for it, i mean the MP is fun and all, just nothin special or new.

i have never played crysis 1, but the variety and different areas in the SP keeps me going back to it. to be honest with u i got crysis 2 for SP only and i dont regret it so far. but dont get me wrong, i mean the game isnt revolutionary u know? but it has few things other fps doesnt do, which i like. also, even though its not a sand-box game, it kinda feels like i mean the levels are huge and u can go almost anywhere and can approach ur target or destination in any way u want. also about socom 4, i think its a good game as an overall package that it offers. i have no doubt the retail version will be a lot better, and im sure it will have few issues but thats why we have patches :P, im def getting that day one.

I too am hooked on KZ3, and after trying Crysis 2 last night online, I think I will return to Killzone 3 after finishing the Crysis 2 singleplayer campaign. I died and died and died some more, and felt like I had no idea what was going on. I'm decent at Killzone 3, though, and feel like that game does a better job of encouraging cross-class teamwork.

i think i may need to play killzone 3 mp again, im hooked on the crysis 2 mp and i cant quite remember how fun killzone 3 mp was after jumping from rooftop to rooftop and cutting throats in crysis 2. like i must admit it is harder to kill someone in crysis 2 and it takes some getting use to but i think it feels more rewarding. i guess im going to haveto take a break from crysis to play some killzone then lol

Crysis 2 can be a bit unbalanced with snipers and cloaking.

I wouldn't be exclusively purchasing Crysis 2 for MP, if at all.

Single player is really where the game shines and it's undoubtedly where the main focus was from the start. I'm close to 12 hours into the single player and have at least another 2-3 hours to finish.

Personally, Killzone 3 MP is really one of the highest quality at the moment.

I like the Crysis 2 MP so far. 99% of people run around cloaked using an assault rifle. Once you get the hang of the maps though, it can be a lot of fun. There are some great spots on Parking Ramp. I love the fact that you need to collect dog tags in order to get killstreaks, too. That pretty much takes camping out of the picture. Killstreaks are a lot harder to get. I think 6 is my highest right now. I think the suit armor could use a little tweaking and some of the weapons could use some balancing (shotgun spray should be wider and more lethal), but other than that, I definitely like it.

I'm addicted!

I have yet to start the single campaign but so far, I'm in love!

Crysis 2's mutiplayer feels like a cross between Killzone and Call of Duty to me.

  • Lots of action
  • Great, beautiful maps
  • Great powers (including the abilities to power-kick a car in your opponent's face or air-stomp him)

God, I love Crysis 2! Now, if I can only tear myself from the MP and begin the single campaign.

I've recently discovered that combining the armor module with a machine gun yields amazing results. Anyone else gotten the hang of air stomping yet? I've only been killed with it once, and have yet to use it successfully.

I only have 3 Air-Stomp kills so far, 2 of which were obtained by pure luck. It's really hard. You really have to land right on the opponent. There's no blast radius.

Its very balanced, you don't feel like you've been killed in an unfair manner like Black Ops, also on my PS3 which is on wireless my connection is fine, only 2 matches have disconnected on me and that was not my connection it was someone else leaving the game. Its worth getting on the PS3 and the frame rate is very consitent, with no drops even on multiplayer. Alhtough the concept of using the nano suit will take come getting used too, if you have been playing CoD for too long, it's fairly easy to get into MP.

Its a great game but it can be very laggy at times. Its a lot faster paced then COD but it borrows a lot of elements from Halo, COD (mostly) and Killzone. It is definitely nothing new and doesn't really bring anything new to the table but for what its worth and what it does....it does it well. The SP was awesome. It started off slow but after about 2 hours in it picks up. It's really lengthy like 10 - 12 hours but it never gets boring. The MP is a lot of fun. I think some of the weapons aren't really balanced very well though. Lag makes this an even worse situation but hey its got awesome MP maps, cool MP modes, alot of skill like kill situations. Parkour and the Armor and Cloak mode are really balanced and not overpowering so I'm really happy with it. I have been playing the crap out of it. I heard the 360 version online is really bad though. Everything is all messed up on it.

There is a perk for retrieving dog tags without having to run over and pick them up thus getting you killed in the process. There is your answer to there being no campers lol.

As much as I like KZ3, i have to say that KZ3 is pretty unbalanced as far as sniping and cloaking go. M66 + Cloak lvl 3 = Infinite Cloak. Plus the VC32 is OHK anywhere.
