Really? I've heard many people say how unbalanced the Killzone 3 multiplayer is, with those invisible sniper cloaks, and considering how the sniper rifle is a 1 hit kill weapon, it sounds pretty bad. I've played the multiplayer beta for Killzone 3 as well and it didn't seem to be much of a problem there, but that was only because nobody had time to rank up and upgrade the cloak.

You're not wrong in saying that Killzone 3 MP can be pretty unbalanced. The Marksman with his invisible cloak and an assault rifle is pretty insane and gets annoying quick when they're camping in a corner waiting for someone to come by(if they only had a sniper rilfe with cloak all would be good)...However it's not all bad and with some skill there are ways around these cheap tactics.
KZ3 MP has really improved in terms of match-making (always finding full games nowadays) and lag (or lack thereof), for me at least. I was a huge Killzone 2 fan and although Killzone 3 is a slight step backwards, IMO it's still the best FPS multiplayer on PS3 right now
From what I've seen and played of Killzone 3, I agree that it improves on Killzone 2 in some ways and takes a step back in others. And my impression so far is that one of the latter is the story. I was pretty disappointed in the single player demo they had because the gritty feel of the second game was gone and was instead replaced by bad voice acting and cheesy lines (and Rico's afro... seriously, WTH?). I've heard that the Crysis 2 single player is still good, so I'm considering both single player and multiplayer before I pick a game. How is Killzone 3's story?
Killzone 3's story isn't so bad. As mentioned it is a bit of a step back from 2. I found the first quarter or so was pretty poor with little or no storyline connecting various set pieces. The story did seem to pick up for me further in though and there really are some awesome, huge scale set pieces that i really did enjoy and it is much more colourful and detailed with back grounds (as opposed to 2's various shades of brown). The ending is pretty contencious too, it seems that some (most) hated it, but I didn't mind it too much, left things open for Killzone 4 anyway.
