I just got the game for my PS3 and i am really enjoying it so far.My only concern is the texture pop-in plaquing the game, and also you have to approach a lot of objects(trees for example) for details to become clearler. Is this usual for the game or my PS3 is to blame, thanks in afvance.

how often u getting these pop-ins. i mean i notice them here and there but not bad enough to ruin my experience, i rarely noticed them, thats cuz i guess i was into the game too....also what u mean about objects being not clear and u gotta get approach it for it to be clearer ? i mean if ur a good distant away then its understandable, no one can see an object as clear as when ur infront of it, when ur 50 or more meters away.

He probably means low res textures, sadly this is the case scattered throughout the game, if you have both systems i recommend the other as it runs smoother with actual less screan tear and higher textures, obviously speaking from my own personal experience.

I meant low resolution textures, as in when i approach a tree details become clearler, you can see leaves...etc, texture pop-ins aren't this frequent but defintely noticable.

+1

when i am playing you can walk up to a slab of rock and the textures take a 2 second rest before popping in

but when they are loaded they are great

I noticed it, but it wasn't too bad. It was a relatively "normal" amount of pop-in, it especially happened with the shadows if you were sprinting through areas with alot of trees - if you were going slow at a walking pace and engaging every enemy then you might not notice pop-in at all.

I don't recall any at all in Killzone 3, but I remember there was TONS of pop-in in Medal of Honor (like entire MOUNTAINS would suddenly appear on the horizon), there was a bit in Black Ops, I'm playing Borderlands and it has pop in. Crysis 2 looks miles better than all of these games did on PS3 and has the same or less pop-in, so it's not a big deal.

i had an enemy pop-in.

yeah seriously, i was standing there waiting on my health to recharge ducked away in a firefight and an enemy soldier just blinked in, right in front of me. it freaked me out so i shot it... i shot it alot.. and then i stood there waiting for more to pop-in in the same unsettling manner but none did.

this was one of my many issues with this game

i really hope so lol, cuz bernadrea ur statement is kinda wrong if u werent talkin about the PC version. cuz it already been established and confirmed that the ps3 version is better than the other console, but that doesnt mean the game isnt buggy or has low textures here and there

On the whole, this game doesn't look too bad, but ... what is it with the cars? Seriously, some of the cars look like they were stripped out of a PS2 game, but Crysis 2's graphics are supposed to be on the high end out of PS3 games.

Again, OVERALL the graphics in Crysis 2 are not bad, but if you've played Uncharted 2 you should probably agree that the graphics in UC2 look better overall with photorealism achieved more often than in Crysis 2 where the graphics can often seem slightly cartoony despite higher res textures.

What really pisses me off about Crysis 2 is that it freezes too often.

I think the game is pretty overrated. I'm surprised it's rated 8+ on average. I guess the average gamer has lower expectations than I thought.

Crysis 2 has some messed up visual at time. Enemies would be stuck inside a wall, so i have to throw grenades that would cause an impact in a certain perimeter so it damages him. Even worse, checkpoints dont load up, or the next part of the script, because somewhere in the map an enemy is walking in a circle waiting to die.
