Crysis vs. Haze a Fair Visual Comparison (Pictures Inside)

I would usually agree.. But seeming as this is not just a stupid mine is bigger than yours I disagree with you.

This guy just pulls them both out for a fair comparison. 

Pretty damn good side by side shots. Though i'm not sure about Crysis, Haze is I assume, the closer of the two to completion.

 Crysis does have a more photo realistic look as well- imo.

I'm with you...this just going to turn into another 100post long thread about whether or not crysis can be done on a ps3 and which looks better and directx10 and BLAH BLAH BLAH....SHUT IT! 

but on the surface 'look' that you can see from screenshots isn't everything, what about the full destructability of EVERYTHING in Crysis, the phyiscs, ligthinng, shadows, individual parts of vehicle sthat can be destroyed etc, screens show bugger all

the thing is, we don't know that HAZE will not have those same things.  we have only seen one gameplay video and the game still has 4-5 months of development to go. 

Not saying that HAZE would look as good as Crysis.  The bad thing is, we have only seen videos of Crysis running in bad-ass mode using DIRECTX 10.  How much of the bad-ass graphics and lighting and such will be gone when you play the scaled-down version that most people will be playing?  how will that scaled-down version differ from say HAZE? 

on higher resolution (let's say on your 50 inch Plasma at 720P or 1080i), crysis will have MUCH, MUCH more detail.

Haze DOES look pretty darn good though.

It will most likely be ground breaking graphics wise, but it remains to be seen if it will have ground breaking game play. for all anyone knows it could be a basic shooter  game play wise with spectacular graphics and physics.

there isn't much in a FPS that hasn't been done before.  I think just about every FPS is just a basic shooter. 

compared to other FPSs on cosoles, Haze has the best graphics and probably the best gameplay(FreeRadical doesn't dissapoint)

Ground breaking...??? Anyway...the fact that they are comparing Haze to Crysis is telling you that the ps3 and 360 aren't that far behind the Pc.

I have a ps3 and a pc but my pc aint anywhere near good enough to play crysis. To me Crysis just look phenominal from the videos that i have seen.

Destruction on EVERYTHING? Are you sure? Can you break the guns in half? Can you split the world in half? Can you slice all the trees, grass, rooms, cars, people, clouds, sands, rocks.. (keep adding more here) in half?

 I've never seen Cyrsis in action except a couple of trailers. But I kind of doubt the "Destruction of Everything" slogan, if it were true, then it won't be realistic... would it?

But if I'm not mistaken, most 20"-22" screen only has 1680*1050 or 1600*1200 resolution. So were does this "MUCH MUCH more detail" come from?

BOTTOM LINE: Haze on PS3 will OWN Crysis on a $600 PC.

You'll need to spend $600 on the graphics card alone if you want Crysis to look like the screenshots.

But HOW MUCH MOENY you're gonna spend to acheive those kinda visual effects on your PC?

I'll give you a minimum budget:

Core 2 Quad CPU: 300 dollars

8800 Ultra SLi: 1400 dollars

750W PSU that can handle a pair of 8800 Ultra: 200 dollars

The money you wasted on a SINGLE GAME: Priceless!

Haze looks more natural to eye, it looks like it would be more realistic, but Crysis, looks better at being all tropical and the details and lighting in crysis looks amazing
