With heated debates over next gen comparisons and which titles provide better all around graphics, PSU thought it would be great to take one of the most beloved upcoming PC games, Crysis, and match it up against one of the more promising PlayStation 3 fall titles, HAZE.

Since both games cloud themselves with similar weaponry and futuristic ****fighting, PSU thought they would be rightly suited for comparison. So without further adieu let the eye candy begin!

My thoughts:
Well you have to think though...you have to have a "god" computer to run Crysis in its best! HAZE you can just pop into the PS3 and play.

Also, I think both titles are in the same stage of developments.

I'm sorry, but Crysis blows away Haze and most other games PERIOD like nobody's business. The only games that match up in graphics are Project Offset and maybe Mass Effect. And those games don't have all the drama going on in them.  Forget pics, have you seen the VIDEOS for Crysis? Forget the DX10 version, the DX 9 version obliterates Haze. It's no contest.

And Haze is multiplatform, not a PS3 game. It's coming to the PC and 360 before the end of 2007.

weeehaa we got a competitor for Crysis. infact they look pretty close. Some more work on Haze and they could look both as good. Crysis has the advantage at the moment but Haze gameplay looked better than crysis.arabi_89

umm those pictures are old crappy ones and not the latest, and the crysis ones are

:? if you open your eyes i said Haze needs abit of work and it could compete with Crysis and maybe it just me but i seem to like Haze gameplay more than crysis but maybe thats cuz i didnt see alot of Crysis gameplay videos.

Dont compare Haze to Crysis, Crysis cant be compared to any console game right now, watch crysis videos like what the other bloggers said and you will be confused what looks and doesnt look realistic, The Cryengine is That AMAZING.  Why not compare Haze to Killzone 2 instead when the Screenshots come out for that game?? oh wait, damn its not out yet. lol. anyway. no comparing Crysis, hopefully theres a way to port that game to the PS3...

I think Crysis looks quite alot better, I don't know how they pull it off but the jungle scenes in Crysis looks very real and has some kind of depth to them. And to be honest I don't think it's much more expensive to get a computer that can run Crysis at high graphics compared to the price of a ps3 and a HD-tv.ikwal

wow grfx are comming a long way i love the screenshots all of them , i am a pc gamer myself and i always used to bash consoles last gen and show off my pc games to my mates . Now when i saw this gen i was like wow thats impresive for a console so i got the 2 i wanted, now i am a bit gutted because i know looking at crysis that pc gamming will always be the one to beat:o

i dont think anyone should compare pc games with console game because pc's will always be ahead of the game 

Crysis looks much better, but Haze still looks pretty darn good. Especially on a system that only costs $600. A video card alone to really show off Crysis will cost about that.babystapler

you can get a geforce XFX 8800GTS, for £155.00 that will play it very sweet indeed:D

is this hating im sensing or your just mad your 360 is no where near to these visuals (PS3 over the next 2-3 years should have graphics like Crysis) by the way to the others the pic i put up is now any type of engine its just a pic i found on google

First of all: The gap between the two is hardly "huge."

Second of all: It looks like the only thing the CryEngine puts effort into is the jungle, which is admittedly beautiful. Everything else looks like "meh."

guys before u conitnue ur rant about how Crysis looks 20x better than Haze, take into consideration that Haze is still in serious development, and i bet that the real game will look quite a bit sharper than those pics. and also consider that the  design of the two games are very different--u cant really compare the palm trees and grass of crysis to the intentional aridness and darkness of Haze.
