Current 360 owner thinking of getting PS3

Guys I just got $1000 from my parents for XMAS and am thinking of splurging a bit and getting a PS3 250 GIG. I think that even though the vast majority of games out there come on both the 360 and PS3, there are enough exclusives on the PS3 to validate a 360 owner for making a PS3 purchase. I know the PS3 is a great, reliable console with Free online and BluRay. I just wonder if having a PS3 and a 360 is overkill. Your thoughts please?

I'd say go for it, there are tons of exclusives for the console and you also get the Blu-Ray player etc.

i have both PS30 and owning both is much better. i can decide on which platform shoud i get mulitplats and enjoy exclusives from both platforms.

If you got the cash and the time, why not? The ps3 has some very good exclusives that are already available or will soon be available. Its also a very good blu ray player. If you decide to get a phat its also good at playing older consoles as well (see signiture).

Wow you got $1000 from your parents alone? You should sell the Xbox and games and get rid of the XBL fee. =)

im in the same situation except i have 400 dollars to spend.

im going to use it both for games and blu-ray movies

Heapsa ps3 owners here also own 360s.

nah I think that PS3 is much better but it is senseless to own 2 consoles

maybe you should to invest the money on your x360 an buy a new LCD, Many games and maybe things like a HT, qualitative headset, etc.
