I think the style looks amazing, and the efforts they've gone to recreating some of the nightmarish visions in the story is admirable, but I'm not certain about the plot change. And, I fear the gameplay will be standard hack and slash fare. I really hope I'm wrong though.
It looks WAY too much like God of War. I love GOW, 2nd best game ever, but it's just blatant. It'll probably be a great game, it just looks too similar and it disgusts me that it looks like a rip off. Bring something original! Besides, the main character looks like generic medieval soldier #8. Way lame, way generic.

To me it looks like God of War in Hell and thats just dandy with me. I look forward to each developer diary to see what sick twisted world they've made for each circle. Not sure the Sloth based enemies will be all that menacing though :/
Yep. I get the feeling it'll be an inferior GOW. Unless it scores incredible in the reviews, I'll probably just save my money for Kratos' next installment.
it does look like GOW but that hellish idea is exciting me! I don't know, that poem is scary enough and i hope the game can bring that out! hope it won't disappoint!
Their ideas for it sound pretty awesome, but I'm just hoping they can actually deliver a unique and fun experience. A good game of Dante's Inferno is no easy task...
I guess EA 's new mission is to challenge the best (or thought to be) games of their genres. They challenged RE with Deadspace now GoWII with this. And you know what they have succeded with Deadspace but Dante's Inferno I don't know if they will take the crown. But I really admire the effort to try and match the best games if not surpass them. And Dante's Inferno is definitely on my must-buy list.
They are bringing us information and are describing each circle of hell. It means they are really serious about making an epic game. There is so much potential and they are using it. They will not fail.
Personally, this is my #2 game on my wishlist (GoW3 is #1 lol), butI just cant freakin wait for this game. It looks awesome, the story is very cool and original, wickid combat sytem (kinda stolen from GoW though, but hey, there was nothing wrong with that. GoW's combat system was what made the game so rad :P) And the monsters are filthy motherf*ckers like you havent seen in any other game before. Now i think of it, this might be my #1 game, cuz its totally new and original and I dont rly know yet what to expect from this game, besides that it will be wickid as hell.(I've played all the GoW's b4 so I kinda know what to expect with part 3 already, wich makes it a bit less exciting in my opinion). The only problem about this game is that 2010 is still a long time to wait :(.
So what if it looks or plays similar to god of war, that's a good thing. I like god of war but I'm not a fan of Greek mythology. This game has a good idea and scenario behind it I hope they can pull it off. There's no rule to say you can only play one game of each genre.
