I decided to go with the poor Elf origin, reminded me of the one scene in Braveheart where the princes or w.e come to claim their "right". As for the class I am a rogue.

This game is crackkkkkk

I went with a City Elf and chose Warrior class. I'll probably specialize as a Templar when I get far enough for that. I only got a chance to play for maybe 2 hours on Tuesday and haven't even gotten to any combat yet.

I started off with dwarf noble warrior, but got stuck so i made a human noble rogue, and I just specialized as a bard. I really liked the dwarf noble origin though, and now that I know how to actually do it, I'll have to go back after I beat the game with my human noble to finish it up with him. I love dwarfs.

Yeah, I did the dwarf noble as well and am about 4 hrs into it. I am very impressed with the story. Honestly, I've never been a big fan of dwarfs, but I just wanted to try a character that I would not normally do and am glad I did. This game is very impressive, great job Bioware!

This game came out of nowhere to me...and I usually know when a Bioware game is coming! (ie: Star wars Old Republic *droolz*). Anyway I am LOVING it so far and am about 2-3 hours into it! I love how every class has a different start and finish to the game...

I went with a Human Mage and he rocks...he's bald with a short stubble/beard. Yes there are some framerate issues but I dont even care with how engaging the story is and the decision making. Love it...reminds me of Kotor in a huge way, but medieval!

I too am having issues with the hotkeys...Right now I have 6 spells and they are in every slot, but what happens when I get more spells?!?! Ugh.

And the collectors edition is sick! The case, the cloth map etc etc...all quality! Last time I got a cloth map is when I bought the original Ultima online!

I got to part where they get kidnapped if that's what you mean. If it hits even harder, I can't wait to see what happens. Actually, I'm going to play soon so I guess I'll find out.

Exact same reason I chose an elf. I normally would have just chose human, but for some reason I said screw it and picked elf. I do want to do another playthrough as a dwarf and probably one as a human too.

I was going for spell damage which the elf gets an extra point over humans. Wish the CE had shipped to ebgames, when I went in to pick up they only had reg editions. And I couldnt wait for the CE. :(

you actually can have 12 if you don't mind an extra step. You have 6 per weapon set, so when you change weapon set from say melee to ranged you can have 6 different hotkeys. Kind of lame if you only really specialize with one weapon or weapon set, but nice if you have different tactics with a bow as opposed to a sword.

As for my character I went with a city elf rogue who strongly dislikes humans (as I dictate with my dialogue choices). I'll probably either be assassin (if i get around to making more poisons) or a duelist. One thing I'll recommend to everyone is for the love of Pete, MAKE A CRAP LOAD OF HEALTH POTIONS. You can never have too many, and ALWAYS be sure to have your allies gambits set to use one when their health gets a little low and PUT IT IN THE FIRST SLOT so they will heal before they attack. That and don't rush and please plan ahead.

Nice, I didnt realize you could do this. I wonder if I can make 2 identical weapon sets and have diffrent hotkeys for each? Or would I need 2 sets of the same gear?

If you want to set up 12 hotkeys for your warrior and you only use one weapon, you would have to find the identical weapon and equip it in your secondary slot.

Easy enough in the beginning I suppose. Little more difficult as your arsenal increases.
