Well that is the price I gave when you just purchase the game. Game + your first month.A lot more than that, the subscription's monthly.

That was expected its an MMO, BLEH , i want to play an MMO bad too.
It would be nice if we just had to pay for microtransactions or something instead.
I wouldn't be shocked if the first month is free. It'll probably have a free subscription code with the game. Most, if not all, MMOs do that. Even WoW did that, got the first month free to decide that game wasn't for me.
wow that is one game im gonna have to pass
way to much money
any how hope this game gets great reviews and is tons of fun to play
if its not well then ever one well pissed that they paid $75+ on a video that there not evern gonna play again
It better be a damn good game.GrandJuryFor $75 + $15/month, it better turn into a hot chick from Holland who makes me sandwiches and massages my feet.

You can always get Free Realms or The Agency. I heard they're free. Also, it's ridiculous how MMOs on consoles have subscription fees. It's like it's not enough 60 bucks for each purchase. I'd be ok if it was around 80 bucks, because there's server maintenance and blah blah blah, but if a small, free game like League of Legends can make money, a giant like DC and SOE can't? Also, your avatar's pretty cool. That was expected its an MMO, BLEH , i want to play an MMO bad too.

It actually takes a lot of developers to maintain an MMO, stamp out bugs, add new content in, etc. I was actually looking forward to this game somewhat, but I have a feeling that this is an ill-fated MMO, just like all the other hundreds of MMO's out there. Shame really. That was expected its an MMO, BLEH , i want to play an MMO bad too.

Modern Warfare 2 takes a lot of developers to keep the servers from crashing, so does Halo 3 and Killzone 2 when it came out.I was hoping for no fee but ya don't get what you want all the time. Well looks like im not buying :(
heh...welcome to MMORPGs TC....first month is ALWAYS free. ReaperV7Don't play those games sorry there to time consuming.
.....Oh no, an MMO has a subscription fee. .....Where will it end? Who could have possibly seen this coming?60 bucks for the game then the subscription fee.

The Lord of the Rings just became free after years of being out and two expansions. The people who will be level 50 and over are the ones who are going to keep playing and keep paying, especially years after the game came out. Making it free will attract new people, keep the old playing, and get them more money when new users reach 50 or buy from the store that they added. MMOs are frequently making expansions, customer support, adding new content through patches, changing and fixing things through patches, and the amount of people playing WoW is very likely to be a little higher than people playing the average FPS game online, especially over years.

Just to play devil's advocate here: Global Agenda went free-to-play today. Global Agenda launched in February and is definitely not in the same position financially that LoTR or DDO is. I completely agree with you, but there are plenty of MMO's that have proven that a subscriptionless business model can work; it's a matter of choice. Personally, I would prefer to pay monthly; it guarantees constant new content and updates. I'm just sayin...Please Log In to post.
