To people that have played both, which is more enjoyable and just a better game overall?

Tough choice. I think I'd go with Dead Space 2 especially if you're into playing games online.

Hard because they're nothing like each other.... What type of game do you like more? Heavy Rain's like a movie and Dead Space 2 is a horror surival?

DS2 is more a game compared to Heavy Rain. Heavy Rain is an experience.

Heavy Rain is the easy winner. There is no other game even close to being like Heavy Rain. It is a very very unique experience that I wouldn't trade for any other game.

Dead Space 2, Heavy Rain is good too but it's best experienced with the Move + Navi controllers.

If you're a like me, you will hate the horrid screen tearing in HR, which is why I didn't buy it unfortunately. On the other hand, Dead Space 1&2 are technically rock solid, very good gameplay, excellent storytelling, awesome sounds, and just a fantastic atmosphere if you're into horror, action/suspense. I say go with Dead Space 2, especially if you played the first and want to continue the story.

Screen tearing is not caused by games, it's caused by monitors. I get no tearing in Heavy Rain. Anyway this is like asking are oranges better than apples... Me personally I'm not crazy about either game but if you've already played Dead Space 1 you've played Dead Space 2... Otherwise I do recommend DS2 over Heavy Rain (snoozefest)

definitely DS2 - now I'll say I haven't played DS2 yet (in the mail on the way to me), but I did play both DS1 and HR - DS1 took me totally by surprise and immediately became one of my favorite games of all time - heavy rain...not so much - now heavy rain is a good rental to experience something unique, but once I played through it over the course of a few days I had no desire whatsoever to ever play it again - I also was not terrible impressed - I loaded up a new game of DS1 right away after my 1st playthrough though

If your renting either go for Heavy Rain... but to be honest there's absoultely no replayability besides trophies and it's done quick...... Dead Space if your buying as there's more replayability.

Heavy Rain has plenty of replay, I've played through it multiple times to see all of the different outcomes.

All of the endings = Trophies... lol, the game is story based.... if you already know the story whats the point? All the endings can be acheived quite easily so I don't consider that much replayability....

.... Like of all time? It's a good game but it's kinda boring lol, and it has the pinnacle of tagged on multiplayer.

Let me put it this way:

First playthrough: Play the game the way you want (You'll also probably make mistakes)

Seconds playthrough: Do everything correctly

Third playthrough:
Get the Perfect Crime ending/trophy
If you want a completely new and unique experience, Heavy Rain. If you want more Dead Space, then I would grab Dead Space 2. It's much better than the first, imho.

Never played Heavy Rain, but I want to try it out. I'm waiting for a decent price drop to happen.

You should get both if there is any possibility of that happening. But if you have to prefer one, Heavy Rain edges it - completely unique.

I'm going to play it soon, but since the first game is my favourite ever, I'm sure Dead Space 2 will follow in similar fashion. Dead Space 2 FTW!

Are you serious?

Really? Really!

One game is the best at what it does while the other has got to be one of the worst games ever released.

Dead Space 2 provides far more fun than any game in that genre, while Heavy Rain is a good example of "How NOT to do it" when it comes to making any kind of game.

So yeah, pure gold vs pure ****. I'd go for the gold if I were you.
