Hi all,
I am very confsued about the Co-Op option. Is the campaign with co-op and single player the same or are they two seperate campaigns?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
The solo and co-op campaign are the same with some differences. In co-op the puzzles are tougher, the enemies are more aggressive and sometimes more of them. Also there is a lot dialogue with Carver that you only get in co-op. Also some side missions are only available in co-op. Plus you experience the game differently if you are playing as Carver in co-op because of his dementia.
So you go through the same campaign, but it plays a LOT different. Excellent replay value stacked with weapons crafting.
Cool nice, thanks for the explanation. I want to pick it up tonight... Can I just find a random stranger on the ps3 network to play with me or does it need to be a buddy of mine that owns the game?

Not sure if it has a matchmaking system.
How I miss the old days of MP where you could chill at a friend's house and both play the game. You weren't required (read: FORCED) to play online.Kravyn81
Yeah, that's what I was thinkin'. My brother lives next door to me, and I thought it might be fun to team up on this.
So did anyone pick it up? I refrained from getting it. I was too scared it would be added to the collection of games I bought, played for 5 minutes and then never played it again... much like black ops 2, red dead redemption, killzone 2 and gears 3 :DIn co-op you also do some other missions that are connected to your partner through the campaign.

1st of all, Red Dead Redemption gets awesome after the slow start.
I didn't get Dead Space 3. I had planned to because I liked the first 2 games very much. But I saw it got the lowest review of the series, so I figured I'll wait for the price drop to play it. I'm still having fun with Ni no Kuni anyways.

I pre-ordered it, but it hasn't arrived by mail yet. I have friend that got it last night he is raving about how great it is so far. And reviews are hit and miss. I has 9.75 from GameInformer and 9.5s from JoyStiq and Polygon, but mostly 7.5s and 8s. You will really have to experience it for yourself...
Most every one agrees that if you loved the first two you want to finish the trilogy though.
