I'm curious about DeadSpace- I might get it but I'm unsure.

Is there multiplayer?

There's no multiplayer, it's about 10 hours long for your first play and as for scary, yes it is, not that i'll make you wet your pants but its much more scarier than Resident Evil 4 that's for sure

i am pretty keen to buy this, i bought the dvd prequel to check it out, it looks pretty cool, but then again , i love survival horror, but after reading a bunch of reviews it isnt supposed to be that scary, so im tossing up between that and farcry 2 ,

then lbp next week without a doubt.

Dead Space is a great game that should be experienced.

There is no multi player and it gets very lonely in space until something jump out at you to take you out and it is not a date.

The game length should range around 15 hrs. for your first play through. It is great to explore the first time around.

I am not sure what range is your scare meter but this game do offer some delightful jump moments. The atmosphere from the visuals to the sound will engross you into that surreal feeling. Long playing hours will take a toil on you.

I reckon I'm gonna give this one a pass, then just shut up and get FC2... I'm still being tempted by FO3 though- even though its supposed to be a bad port.

The scare factor is more of a anticipation then actual fear. There are few moments when you get surprised and it will give you a quick shiver, only for a moment.

You have lots of weapons on your disposal and I believe it's one of the reasons why you don't really get scared, you continue to get stronger with new upgrades including your suit.

Last evening I started chapter 11 and my current play time is 12 hours 23 minutes. Except for few scenes where it was better to run, I walked pretty much with every new place as the game progressed in anticipation of enemies jumping on you.

I will say the game is anywhere between 11-15 hours on first play-though depending you player skill.

It's a great game, I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Sci-fi genre. The game is very, very brutal and there isn't much the developers wanted to censor, this is not a game for young ones.

If you play it at medium it will take you 11-12 hours to complete.

Hard mode add another two to three hours.

The game is a single player only but one of the best released this year.

Pretty scary and some good jumps in it, def scarier than Resi 4.
