Debating what to Purchase a PS3 or 360

Well i need any one help with there opinion's about the recent update 3.50 on the Playstation 3 Console. Well i was thinking of buying a playstation 3 slim model for the holiday , but since i been reading so many peoples on the playstation 3.50 update forums and it seem many peoples are experiencing after the update a malfunction of the system and i don't want to go through it and just throw $300 into the trash and even if i choose the 360 which i don't want to pay anymore on the service and some time i feel rip off when i was a member on the xbox family back in september . don't get me wrong both system are great and both systems has flaws . but just let know who has recent updated there console and who hasn't had any issues with there console malfunction on the update. this is the only reason i haven't purchase a PS3 .

save yourself the headache and go PS3. When you get the RROD you'll be wishing you went PS3. I've had my 80gb PS3 for almost 3 years now with no hiccups.

Try asking system wars.

go with ps3. ps3's last atleast 2 or 3 years before it goes ylod and ps3 online is free (unlike the 360)

3.5 came out on Sept 21. You'll notice that everyone here is still enjoying their PS3's. That update disabled a certain aftermarket device used for illegally copying games for free, so I imagine there's a whole little group of people who think they're entitled to get all their games for free who haven't quit complaining since it came out.

The Ps3 of course. Why don't you consider the wii? It has gotten a **** load of great games this year alone.

360? They are still making those paper weights?

Get a PS3 and then live it up! ;)

I sold my 360 for a PS3, only thing I miss is party chat.

Go with the system where you like the exclusives. Features are cool but you're going to play games I assume.

im not trying to start any system wars . im just asking for any one opinions of what console would fit more better to invest my hard working money that all. i ain't here to start any drama with no one deadlysilence82

The ony disadvantage of me is that most of my friends have Xboxes (could just be my age, but I entered high school right when the 360 launched, so a lot of people bought that while the PS3 lacked the software)

I was always a ps2 guy and was excited about the ps3, but waited until it had the software support to justify a purchase for me. (bought it on black friday a year ago)

Couldn't be happier with my purchase, but like I said, I wish I had more friends that were into the ps3. I also wouldn't mind playing a few Xbox exclusives, mainly Halo, Gears of War, Fable, etc. But I've gotten to play awesome PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, Demon's Souls, and Killzone, so it definitely balances out.

All in all, PS3's can be a really great purchase as a media hub and gaming device. I'd say buy whichever software you prefer, and what your friends have, as the online elements of both really being a social impact to your experience.
