OK here are the options get the PS3 60 GB which comes w/ an extra controller for $541 (which I found at Sam's Club)or get the PS3 80 GB MGS4 version which comes w/ Dual Shock 3 and MGS4 for $500. I saw that the 60 GB models are going for $800 on Amazon because they are so rare. I really don't care about the Hard Drive space because I will upgrade it eventually. So which is the one to buy? The 60GB is 100% backwards compatible while the 80GB is 85%. Thanks ahead of time.

Get the 60 GBs.

If you like BC, the price diference is worth it.

If you don't, you can sell it for 800$ and use that money to get a 40GB and some extra games.

Hmmm. I think the 60 GB had the best value overall until the MGS4 80 GB bundle pack came out...

The way I see it, with the 80GBs constantly becoming updated so that more and more games are backwards compatible and you also throw in a free game and a dual shock controller, it can't be beat. Of course if harddrive space doesn't matter you are getting extra GB you don't really need.

But yea, I agree with Hermes200 to an extent... you could always buy the 60GB and resell it high and buy an 80GB & games with the profit you make

Well, it depends will u play ps2 games on ps3? If not then go for 80gb, also as theyre featuring the dualshock 3 controller, I would take advantage in getting the 80gb with mgs4 in it!

Thanks for the help I figured that the PS2 games I will be playing work fine on the 80 GB mainly all the GTA's. I read that the old MGS dont work well but oh well what can you do. I also thought if I got the 60 GB I would still have to buy MGS4 and Dual shock 3 so my total would be like $640. The reselling is good idea but I don't know much about stuff like that I have no Ebay account but I do have Amazon. So when you sell it you provide shipping and how do they pay you do I set up a pay pal account??? Also is there still a high demand for 60GB PS3's even after the MGS4 pack comes out???

Get the 80 gb MGS4 version. It'll be a collector's item some day. Very valuable.
