ok good for you. i would be willing to bet the bricks are from guys like you. untouchables111
Wtf is that suppose to mean? I'm confused.
There is absolutely no way to go back to the previous version. [Most people don't read that warning that Sony used to put in all caps].
Plus, if your Playstation 3 is working alright after the update, then your in the clear.
You have nothing to worry about. =)
U know what nvm just remembered the update is on the system and not on the HDD so that pretty much means take the HDD out and throw away the system if you dont want 2.40.Xjner
Even if you throw away your system and get a new one, there is no way to get back to 2.36, as the update info won't be there anymore and you'll still be stuck to upgrading to 2.40.
your stuck like two dogs after mating, they gotta wait like 20 minutes stucked together, this one time these two dogs were 'stucked' in the middle of the street, messing up the flow of the traffic.
people like u would ask 'if there was full xmb, how come u cant play demos which r on the xmb, while playing a game?'

still don't understand this quote lol. (Sorry I'm one of those curious people so I ask a lot of questions, hence the topic). In any case, do you think there is still a possibility for something to go wrong? I've had it downloaded since around 11:45 p.m. (central time) last night but nothing has gone wrong.
use it as a paper weight or tie a rope at one end of it and pull it and use it as a toy, and make kiddie noises like WIIII, NINTENDO WIIIIIBow-T_88

i asked if it was possible to delete something that I already downloaded. I saw some "possible" options while looking through the ps3 XMB but I came here to get clarification. I don't see how it was a dumb question. Also stop editing my posts. I didn't say it died on me.
He's calling me an idiot because I asked a question pertaining to something i have little to no experience in. Lol ok...sure.

Welcome to the Internet... The place where you ask questions, and is considered dumb by people who know the answers....
Really guys... There's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers... Not everyone is a tech guru..
TC.. if your system started, and you have played a game and everything is ok after the update then you are not affected by this issue. Just keep playing normal.Dilrod
Glad to know. If anyone wants to hit me up on RBV2, warhawk or GTA4 (MGO coming soon as soon as I buy it. Glad I was ale to get a taste from the rental at least lol) PSN: TheJug

Dude did you install the 2.4? Is it working? If it is you do not have a problem?
Still HILARIOUS tough
Yera I installed it around 11:45 p.m. (central time) on tuesday and I haven't had any problems so far. It works but the devs need to patch the games to allow in game music and trophies.
I almost never write here, bur you guys are being so stupid with TC... Wtf is the problem of him asking a question about a thing that happenned like one day ago? Geez...peixotopeticov
I agree, all of us were dumb to how the system worked when we first started using the PS3.
As for removing the update it's not possible because it loads onto the hardware in the console (the cell), not the HDD. This is why developers are not able to use all of the cell, one part is locked for firmware updates.
