Demon souls servers? Shutting down 2011

It says it is extended till March 11, 2011. Why do they have to shut it down in 2011? I've seen plenty of games that are really old and there servers aren't shutdown. Is there something I'm missing here?

I wish the servers could stay going unless atleast a sequel comes out or its like been 5 years or 4.

It just means that they can shut down the servers past that point without notifying the player base. Are you from Europe or UK? The U.S version had the same notification but it was set to around April 2010 I believe and our servers are still up :)AcidSoldner

Wow this is good info, I never totally looked into this and was worried because I still haven't picked the game up.

Even without the online, the game is still well worth it. I played offline for probably the majority of the time to maintain my pure black world tendencies, and I still enjoyed the game immensely.

Hey guys i need HELP When i ended the first quest by defeating the boss, my soul got revived and my health bar increased ( by alot ). But now i notice while doing the second quest, my health bar is same as it was when i started the game. WHATS HAPPENING?!?!SheikhMuhammad

You probably died and went back to SOUL FORM. You lose health in soul form but attack a bit stronger. Wear CLING RING to lose less HP in soul form but you will still have less health then being in body form.

Well.....its ok to be in soul form. It does have some advantages. You attack stronger and you cant be invaded by black phantoms. On my first game, i played 90% of the time in soul form and killed most bosses in soul form too.

After dying a lot on this guy, i moved on and did 3-1, 4-1, and 5-1. I also spent some time leveling up in 4-1 and 4-2. When i got back to 2-1 he was much easier to kill.

There are 5 worlds. They are represented by the 5 archways that go up the stairs in the nexus (going from left to right). So, the farthest left one is world 1 and so on.

After you beat the first boss in 1-1, you can go to ANY of the worlds. There is no set order you have to go in.

Same here, and usually when I play with people online I manage to screw up some how, like when I was helping someone beat the maneaters in 4-2 I fell off the cliff and died when I could have easily killed them

My bets are that a Demons Souls 2 will be out by then. I'd still play the game without the servers anyway.
