Because it's a Sony exclusive? Just taking a guess. I don't know for certain.

I just found out, they paid to localize it in america and it was ps3 exclusive in japan so sony owns the rights i guess to it.From Software made the game, Sony published it in Japan. The NA version is localized and published by atlus like the above guy said. It's definitely exclusive.

Im confused, why would sony present a game made by atlus as there own and then it be made by from software? Sony made the game with their own 1st party dev, From Software. They decided only to publish it in Japan, believing the game would not sell well in NA. Atlus picked up publishing rights from sony for the NA region and that is why it says published by Atlus and made by From Software. It will always be exclusive. (kind of like how sony had rights to publish FF7 in NA)[QUOTE="Phoenix534"][QUOTE="Javieralijandro"] Im confused, why would sony present a game made by atlus as there own and then it be made by from software?Javieralijandro

Since when has From Software been Sony?

(kind of like how sony had rights to publish FF7 in NA)CosmoKing7717From Software is not owned by Sony (thus not a 1st-party developer). This is evident with how their 'big' series Armored Core has had multiplatform releases for the last two games, the Xbox release of Ninja Blade, and the last Tenchu game being on the Wii.

Since when has From Software been Sony?
Sony planned the game, and did a partnership with From Software to have them produce it as a ps3 exclusive game. and then sony failed to bring it over to NA (lack of sales probably), so Atlus picked it up, and now they are publishing it for NAYea, it is 100% exclusive. From Software is a 3rd party and made the game, however, the game was funded by Sony. Sony asked for this game, bankrolled its development, and published it in the Asian territorys.
They had no plans to being it to the US, thinking it was to niche a title for the States, however the game was being imported faster then they could press new copys. There was literally a 1-2 month waiting list at the import sites before the game got greenlite to come here.
Atlus picked up pubishing rights and cleaned up the menus and item discriptions a little bit. (The game was already avalible in full english)
100% exclusive, 0% chance of seeing a 360 or PC port.

It's a Sony Game, Sony Owns it, they paid for Demon Soul's Development. From Software actually were the ones hired by Sony to make this, but whatever the end result was, becomes a Sony product. Sony also helped in it's development.
It's a SONY game, and Sony is ALLOWING ATLUS to Publish it out in the West, but it's a SONY PROPERTY and GAME.
While the game is made by a known 3rd Party, the game itself is a 1 Party game. Effectively that makes From Software in this case a 2nd Party for this game only, but that doesn't change the status of the game.
It's a 1st Party game. :)
So yeah, it's exclusive.

I don't think so, I tried importing this game for months and it was constantly on back order, stock flew off the shelves. Heard it was coming out here and I have been patiently waiting. I remember reading they shipped like 150,000 copies when it was released and the game was pretty hard to find.
