Demons soul king allant 1-4?

I'm up to the last boss in world 1 old king allant. I've been trying like crazy to beat him but his soulsucker and area effect spell are too Damaging. He's also so fast. I can barely put a dent in him before he kills me. I'm soul level 75. I saw on the net that u can spam arrows at him as soon as u enter his chamber and he won't attack you as long as you don't move forward. I got the white bow and tried this strategy. It seems to work. I start out doing about 40 damage per arrow but then the damage starts to quickly decrease To 36, 30, 27 and so on up to 1. I get his health to about half way before the arrows become useless. People sylay that supposed to work but it's not happening for me. Anyone know why the arrow damage decreases?octobermagic

1. Get rid of heavy armor to increase your agility

2. If you have warding or protection spells then utilize them as much as possible

3. Keep yourself slightly away from Alant...this will almost always trigger a charge attack from him.

4. Roll/dodge the charge, hit him once only then keep your distance again..It's important you realize that you can't keep attacking him...you can get two hits on him if you're lucky...but that's still pushing it...

(rinse and repeat)

Very easy boss if you don't go rushing in.

Also, keep in mind that whenever he gets ready to do the shockwave attack, roll away from him...very, very, very far away from him)

The damage decreases because your arrows are knocking him backwards a little bit every time you hit him. Eventually he gets out of range. You need to keep adjusting your aim to take his backward movement into account. But really, it is a lot less trouble just to fight him melee. The arrow method is really boring. If you are having lots of trouble here I suggest you summon yourself a blue phantom or two. Its more fun with a bunch of people fighting the boss and a lot faster.

if you are a berserker, i mean barbarian,just dodge every move and them BAM strong hit and knocks him off balance and stops him from using his wide range attack

The damage decreases because your arrows are knocking him backwards a little bit every time you hit him. Eventually he gets out of range. Oh, and for the bow method, hitting him with arrows (especially when using the lava bow) knocks him back a bit which is whats causing the decrease in damage. Find your strongest bow + arrows (you'll need to stock up a bit) and maybe equip the clever rats ring and morion blade to increase your damage! :D

Warding helps a LOT, keep using whenever it expires and Soul Ray to attack. It shouldn't be that hard

The reason the damage decreases is because as you hit him, he moves back a little further each time. The White Bow is best because it has the furthest reach. I used a White Bow +1 (Trade the gold mask to the crow for a colorless demon's soul, then upgrade white Bow) and about 150 Heavy Arrows and he was almost dead, all I had to do was hit him twice with the Magic Sword Makoto and he was dead ... I bet if you take 200 heavy arrows in with a White Bow +1, you can kill him cheaply

I did die once while fighting him, where I found out Magic was way too slow to hit him. So I went with Warding + Blueblood Sword + Light Weapon, wore only light armour so I could roll around, and the rest was a piece of cake.
