Demon's Souls Blessed Weapons Question

I've been trying to make a blessed knight sword. I read that the way to do so was upgrade my knight sword to +6. After that, I can make it a blessed weapon. I've done this, and I don't have the ability to do anything more with it (I'm going to blacksmith boldwin). Who should I go to to upgrade it blessed status, and do I need faintstones to have the option appear? If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it!

Only Blacksmith Ed can do advanced upgrades, he's in Stonefang Tunnel. And yes you'll need faintstone (3 splinters of it to be exact)

Did you give the stonefang tunnel blacksmith the red hot demon soul (flamelurker) yet? He won't do advanced upgrades until you do.
