haha maybe I'm using the term "shield break" too loosely... I meant that multiple soul arrows would result in the blue knight staggering from blocking too many shots thus allowing a solid hit afterward. I can't really vouch how effective that would actually be in PvP though ^^'Jackininy
No no, I understood what you meant. Sorta similar to how repeatedly hitting someone with shields up does the same thing in melee. Once it eats up the stamina bar, the opponent staggers. I just never realised it possible wiith magic. Which I should have considering one of the advantages of HSA, is that 2-3 shots 'shield break' then the rest hit proper. I just never fully realised it until you said it. Even in PvE, it would have made things a lot easier, since whenever I saw something with a shield up, I'd just move around waiting for it to attack or something so that the shield is down.
im Royalty, but when i got it to half health it flys 2 an area i cant attck and my bow is pretty dire cos it isnt upgraded yet. might have to farm some souls and get better stats.mep69
You need to run through. Magic won't hit him from the stairs. I was Royalty and beat him. Like LS said, you need to recognise the pattern and run accordingly. I don't even know if you can hit him with arrows from such a distance (i never used arrows)
Woot got to the vendor dude in 1-1. Quick! Should I buy a Long Sword or Short Spear or Club. Sword and Spear are 1500 each but club is 500. And for armor should I buy Coat of Plate, Plate Helmet, Plate Leggings, or Plate guantlets. Helmet is 1000, Coat is 1500, Guantlets are 1200, and leggings are 1200. But I only 2252 souls :/
He also has Firebombs and the healing grasses so I'll buy some of those for the boss and other enemies.

You could buy some herbs, but I wouldn't buy firebombs. Armor I can't say, probably pointless if your a Royalty, since it'll increase your equip burden. I never did buy it so I can't say for sure.
A note of advice though, if you push forward, bewary of an ambush. If you want however, you can backtrack to the stairs you came down after the blue knight. There you can jump down to another area. There are usually help messages there saying beginners go here or something. There's a friendly npc there who needs your help and who will help you for a bit. You also get the very valuable Thief Ring there I think. Also of note, did you open the shortcut back to the beginning of the area from the tower after the blue knight? It's semi-dangerous (less than a blue knight), but worth it. Shortcuts stay open even if you die.
