Demons Souls is fun and unforgiving

who here played demons souls? oh my this game is very addicting but sometimes very frustrating.. i always get my butt kick on my first stage.. i pick thief as my first class of job, how do i pass the hallway with dragon who always breath fire? i always die at this stage and i have to start of the begining of the stage. :P

well it's not out in the US yet, but i'm looking forward to it.

I agree with the topic, the game is ruthless. I'm on the first level, I thought I was finally doing good then BAM demon-knight-thing wrecks me in one hit and I'm back to the beginning of the level.

are you talking about the knight who stands in the hallway and has a spear?? one slash and im dead. :lol:

The game was tough while I was figuring it out, but now it is super easy. I can clear most levels in 10-20 minutes and never die on bosses anymore. The trick is finding a healthy mix of range and stealth. Bows, thief's ring and one-time revival are your best friends. Great game though, and glad you are enjoying it.

I want this game so bad, Im not sure I can hold off until the US release....... I might have to import it

It is fun I remember owning two players when I was a Black Phantom, I killed the Blue Phantom before the live one. So awesome

finally about to get to new game ++ on my 2nd character and just trying to get all the pure white tendencies in dungeon 5 so I can be done worrying about world tendecies.

definitely buying another version when it comes out in the U.S. as a keepsake :>. might even buy a strategy guide too just for ***** and giggles :]

It's horribly difficult and punishes you to no end. I want to play it, but I just don't have the time to dedicate myself to the game. You really need a lot of patience with the game, but I have a ton of others to play, so when I dwindle that number down I'll get back into Demon's Souls.

its a quality game, i killed about 4 bosses so far, but I still dont get the purpose of world tendency thoughjohnlennon28

with a pure white tendency, blocked paths open up which lead to unique weapons, and side quest sbecome available for weapons/armor.

with a pure black tendency the harmless npcs become phantoms that drop good items, and the primeval demons show up (1 per level) which drop colorless souls, which upgrade those unique weapons.

i want this game, but i question the direct gameplay. how engaging is the normal fighting system? of course fighting epic boss battles will be good, but hows it on a normal basis? from the videos it looks a little hack in slash'y

It plays really smooth. Game runs off of the Havok engine (Assassins Creed Pain). As to Hack N Slash, you wouldn't last 5 minutes in the game hack n slashing. You need your shield or a parrying weapon. Range weapons play a huge part magic and miracles are musts. Gameplay is pretty deep for an RPG.

i upgrade all of my stat yet enemies seems to be getting stronger too. :shock:

I plan on getting it when it's released here in the US this fall

well that just means you can't upgrade the unique weapons, but you can still obtain them. It's easier to try to get them through your first playthrough rather your second since the game only gets harder.

I love this game. I've been playing it for 3 months already. :D
