Hey guys, surprised I didnt see a post about this, but yeah, it was anounced as a "spiritual successor" technically. Still, can't wait! And hey, they are making it even harder!

wow what shocks me is that bandai namco has the rights and its going muili system, i guess thats what happens with a money grubbing company like namco gets a hold of a ip god knows this gen they need all the help they can getelbert_b_23yeah its so terrible the devs and publisher get more money...
This is absolutely amazing news. Demon's souls is, for me, one of the best games of this generation -- and, perhaps, one of the best games I have ever played.
Here's hoping for more weapons, magic, miracles, and upgrade options. I really like the idea of not picking a class, but rather being able to build up your character based on skills you focus on most.
Also, the fact that this game is going to be a lot harder is pure win.
i just started playing and i am happy, as i am still learning and doing more i am getting more addicted. It sucks to die and start over a level but the challenge brings me back for some reason when other games did not

Yeah, if I was From Software I'd want my game to remain exclusive to my small but loyal fanbase. Cause they're not in it for the money, they're just in it. lol
[QUOTE="Nintendonly"][QUOTE="Nick3306"]its not a sequel.johny300
Yeah, and Divinity II isn't the sequel to Divine Divinity.
It's not a sequal BTW check the GS interview this time the dev spoken it's not a sequal. the dev says no watch at :44 You got owned.The only difference is the world the game is based in, they probably couldn't get the right from Sony to call it Demon's Souls II so it's Dark Souls. Not exactly a huge difference.

Whatever you say can't change what the dev said this is not a sequal.I was just trying to say that it basically is a sequel, they just had to change enough to get around the legal side of things. Obviously not a direct sequel, more like the difference between FF7 and FF8, but one would be called Last Fantasy
