I figured this game would drop quickly. I did just check their site and, I'm not saying you're wrong, but only the 360 version is the only one discounted at Toys R Us.

Yeah I noticed that too so I wasn't sure if the sale applied to the PS3 version but when I went in the store the game rang up $34.99 so it does apply to both versions in store. If it didn't I would have tried price matching at Walmart and seen if they could do the PS3 version, and if that also failed then I was just gonna order off Amazon :P
Man all these games drop in price or have sales so quickly. It's like whats the point of getting it day one when in a couple of weeks there will be a sale on it? Madden 12 is already 49.99 at Kmart and Amazon. It makes me regret getting Resistance 3 day one. I enjoy the game, but I guarentee next week it will be on sale for like 40 bucks.
It is surprising that it dropped in little less than 3 weeks. I got the augmented edition day 1 for full price, and I don't regret it since it goes to support the developers (my favroite studio by the way) and well it was more than worth it. But I still feel kinda bummed, I mean those who bought it on day 1 paid more for the same, and it was less than a month earlier.
Oh well, if there were people on the fence about this game they should get it now. It's an astounding game, and for such a price it can't go wrong.

I totally agree. I didn't buy Resistance 3 on day one because I know that in a week or two, it'll be $40. Unless it comes with $10-$20 on Amazon, I'll probably wait. It's funny how games do that.

agreed. thats why i stopped buying most my games the day of its release...now a wait
yeah, i saw this yesterday and freaked out, the game literally just came out 3 weeks ago. oh well, at least I got the augmented edition so it's not that big of a deal, and I'm on a 2nd playthrough so it ended up being worth it. though, i somehow managed to miss the extra mission for preordering it, so i'll have to be more aware my 2nd playthrough. Still, that is a huge price drop, maybe this is a good indication for other games to follow, which probably won't happen with all the big games coming out this year that'll want to get as much money as possible (except the HD collections and The Cursed Crusade).
This happens all the time so I don't know why people are surprised. I bought Mortal Kombat for $29.99 at Toys R Us with their coupon after like 10 days of its release. And Mortal Kombat was a huge seller so it shows that a game doesn't have to a "market dud" to sell for cheap.

Yeah that's basically how you know games won't drop within a couple weeks generally. Amazon giving you $10-20 for getting the game at either $55 or $60. If there isn't a promotion it usually drops to $35-40 (for multiplats)
Yea, I bought it for $45 like you did last week, but reordered it at $35 and will send back my $45 order. I tried to email them and get a refund, but they said they couldn't since their prices change regulary. This is understandable but I also told them in my email that I was just going to reorder it and send back my $45 order which accomplishes the same thing, and they said I would have to do that and they would refund my shipping cost to ship it back.
Makes sense but at the same time it doesn't. Oh well, got it for $35 which is very reasonable.
