if you want to go all guns blazing u will not have enough ammo for the boss fights..however head shots are what u should concentrate on if u want to play it like a shooter.
I played in using all 3 "methods" and trust me, it's far from being strictly stealthy. If you're playing on easy or normal, go ahead and shoot whoever you want as ammo wouldn't be a problem at all. On hard difficulty (or "Give me Deus Ex" difficulty) stealth is your best choice however, playing it as a shooter on that difficulty can really mess things up for you.
Is Deus Ex Human Revolution strictly stealth, or could i play through the game without having to be stealthy :roll:

don't listen to people who urge u to play stealth like.. thats boring as hell and you'll never realise how fun this game is if u play like that.. i play like john mclane from die-hard, i hunt down and kill all the baddies by whatever means but i don't jump out like rambo.. tho it is equally entertaining to play through as a psychotic mad man, and i have done it on many occasions.. thats the beauty of this game, u can go through however u please.. but i've found to truly enjoy this game u gotta disregard the stealth bs.. ;)
You might be forced to play some parts stealth if you run out of ammo if you're trigger happy. Although you can play this game solely as a shooter the game rewards you more XP for being stealthy and doing less lethal takedowns.
You can play strictly stealth if you want other than the boss fights, which will make you regret not spending praxis on other options. I LOVE THIS GAME.
After playing thru both ways I think full stealth is by far the most enjoyable.. Just make sure to spend some praxis points on the typhoon so you can easily beat the boss fights.
