I've never played a previous DMC game, but I've decided to bite on 4. I'm curious as to what version of the game you fellas are getting.

Just for reference: Included in the Collector's Edition are tons of extras including: Volume 1 of "Devil May Cry: The Animated Series" on DVD with four complete episodes of the anime, a unique Steelbook metal case, a bonus DVD "Making of Devil May Cry 4," music from the soundtrack, a digital artbook, and PC content (screen savers, wallpapers, and icons).

If I find the CE on store, I'll get it... If I don't see it I'll go with the regular version, as I don't think it's worth wasting time looking for that CE.

But again, if I find it on store I'd get it P

I don't really like collector editions unless they have the original box-art which comes with it. I'm really picky when it comes to these things.

Hey Yoshi, as you probably already know I pre-ordered CE edition and I did it for a bonus DVD "Making of Devil May Cry 4," music from the soundtrack, a digital art-book, and PC content.

In all honesty, you really don't need it. You can get animated series, soundtracks, and the rest online with a little search. :)

However, as a DMC fan I'm looking forward to "Making of Devil May Cry 4" commentaries as I heard it's quite long and informative.

The other bonuses are just that, bonuses. I will be able to give a proper description of all content and if it's worth once the game arrives in few days.

It's kind of like my collection of Star Wars Movies, I could had gotten the regular 40$ package, but I went with 60$ one for commentaries with George Lucas and other crew to get more information and what drives those people in commentaries.

Most of the times Special Edition or Collectors are not really worth it and developers/publishers just want our extra 20$.

Those rascals! :)

99.999999% of people ARE NOT collectors. And a lot of people get sucked into buying collectors editions for little extras that you will never use, and wont even be interested in. If anything you can watch them on youtube or something.

Don't buy the CE, save the extra cash and buy another game or something.

It doesn't seem worth it to me. I've gotten a couple of Collector Edition games and never watched the extra content.

I am buying the one for GTAIV though, its well worth the extra money IMO. But if you are a collector indeed, I'd say go for it.

I'm getting the regular PS3 version myself. The only other thing I might want is the soundtrack, I'll find that online.

I am getting the PS3 regular. PS3 because I've grown with DMC on PS2 and I am used to the controller for this game. Regular cause I don't have the money for the collectors edition, and the anime's 4 first episodes which is the biggest incentive, I have already seen completely. If I had the money, I would buy the collector's though.

Gee... I'd like to help there but I haven't played it. And as I like to stay away from spoilers, I'm not interested on finding out 'til I actually play the game.

But hey!! there's no harm at all on playing the previous ones. :D

I'm going with regular, but if you've got the cash for the CE then go for it because I think there's quite a bit of good extra content

When I was going to the local game store,(I live in south east asia) I notice something really wierd, it was devil may cry 4. I was quite confused cause I thought it wasnt supposed to be out yet. But I bought and the shopkeeper said it was a limited edition, not sure what she meant but it came with another cd containing trailer and making of the game

I'm leaning toward the Regular edition, but I'm just not sure. I want to know what's on the soundtrack, too :)

Sometimes I splurge on a the CE, but $20 extra is a little much. The episodes might be cool, but outside of that, I feel like I'm just paying $20 more for the same game as the standard edition. Rather on the fence on this one. I'll probably wait to see how the community reacts to it before deciding whether or not to go the extra mile on this one.

Congrats, lets hope its not the DMC3 version you bought. The dmc4 collectors edition comes in a metal ps3 case, so if yours is in a metal case then you have DMC4 before most of the people in the world.

DMC isn't much of a collector type of game. Usually its Final Fantasy, MGS, and almost anything from ATLUS.
