Did any of you buy a PSP because... you wanted to play games from some of your favorite series. Say, Final Fantasy and God of War. Sure, the PSP has some new games out on the market like Patapon but I purchased my PSP mainly because the games on the PSP arent available for the consoles. Sure, it seems like an obvious answer but that's what I bought it for. I wanted to continue the story with Crisis Core, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, and Chains of Olympus. It seems like I've been doing a lot of that lately. I purchased gamecube games for my Wii, like Zelda: Wind Waker to catch up on the story. Things like that. Did you guys buy the PSP because you can take your gaming anywhere? Or for the multimedia functionality it has? Or all of the above?
when i visit my brother in singapore, he has a psp(he also has x360, dam he's so rich!), then there i was amazed of how the graphics similar to ps2's, i forgot the game he was playing so probably it is not an amazing game

No, I bought a psp because I wanted a portable gaming system. Although if I didn't have one by the time they released God of War: Chains of Olympus I would have bought one then.
Well for me i had heard so much about the psp being a true muiltmedia device & all the things it could do other than play games. So i got hooked & really wanted to try one, so since i need a new mp3 player & was getting bored with my ds & gamecube i sold them & got a psp.
I bought my psp as I knew it would make an awesome portable media device as well as a powerfull gaming device , I missed out o nthe ps2 and figured I'd make up for it by getting a psp as it has a lot of ports for ps2 games
well i didnt get my psp for video or music , cuz i have an IPOD for that. but i did get the psp so i could have GTA on the go. I can take my psp wherever and be able to play GTA VCS or other ps2 type games. but yeah its good to have the mp3s and videos for when i dont feel like playin a game.
Well I bought for when I go away until I realised I can't use it when I'm driving so now I usually just use it when I left home for a couple of days or when I'm sick of my other systems
The reason I bought mine was because a couple years ago, I went on a long trip, one month to be extact, and I needed something to kill time. The other reasons was because of the GTA stories games, but I've also come to enjoy most PSP exclusive titles too. I mainly use my PSP for gaming. Haven't bothered with the other features much, although it's a nice addition.

Im gonna buy it for GoW and KH but there are like 16 more games that I want for it so it's not just for two games (that would be a waste of money).
I bought my PSP because i wanted to get crisis core when it came out, which i did and didnt enjoy it that much. i still like my PSP a lot but it hasnt been used as much lately. if some decent games dont come out within the next few months i may sell it
I bought my PSP for everything it could do. The games are great, but so are all its other features. Between music, ripped movies, wifi and showing off my latest artworks in a nice digital portfolio, not to mention PS1 games, it's almost as if games on UMD are an afterthought to me...but I like those too.

I have yet to play it first hand (arriving in the mail, this Thursday). When I saw the vid, I was like, "Wow! The PSP can do that?!"

It's not quite at the level as the PS2 versions, but the graphics are pretty damn impressive, with it and Crisis Core being the best graphics on a handheld ever.
well for everything that u mentioned before the graphics too aaaaaaaaaaand for me i mean the feature that u are playing a game and then out of the nothing u have to turn it off and then its not like the actual consoles that when u turn it on again ull have to wait thousand of years to get on the previous data naaaaaaa with PSP u continue right off where u left it and because some games yeah like castlevania and street fighter alpha max 3 as well the darkstalkers i mean having that quality on a portable extra cool mini system yeah thats awesome it had everything for me and still has i love replay that kind of jewel games damn right PSP to the eeeeend
I've always wanted one, but only just bought one with the release of Crisis Core coming up... I could resist no longer!! Got some great stuff for it now thought and plan to get loads more... Ooh and got the Mega Drive collection; that brought back so many memories
