Ok I loved this game but there is something I noticed. The enemies are always in the same place and the ones that are in that place never change. To mkae the mor understanble if you beat an enemie and then go away then go back to that spot that same enemie will be there in the same spot with the same amount of people. So I thought to myself ok I guess its hard to make enime apperence random so maybe they di that for a reason. Thenlike a week ago Dragon Quest 9 came out for the DS and it has the you can see the enemie instead of random battle system. And I played and the monsters are in different places, never the same place. So why couldnt they do that in FF13 instead of making the enmies stay in one place and never change what enemie that was. It truley makes no sense

While i think it's apparent that FFXIII is full of lazy programming (Though I do love the game), it didn't bother me that enemies didn't change. All it did was make avoiding battles easier and if you know what's good for you, you won't skip any battles.

Yeah but that was the problem. It makes it easier to avoid so idf you know were the enemies all are it is possible that you could go the whole game with only like 10 battles not includeing bosses. I mean i liked to battle but i felt not changing the postion or the enemine just made it easier. They needed to mix it up a bit

It didn't bother me. If you generally fight everything in your path you won't need to backtrack a lot, & it's handy being able to save near a good grinding spot. Also the amount of enemies on the screen all at once in chapter 9 & 11 was pretty impressive imo.

When your first playing through the game, you don't go into every place twice. And you don't already know the positions of the enemies. So I don't really see the point in this topic. The game is linear, which mean theres barely any backtracking, and you'll usually never go into the same area twice. And the only way to TRAIN your guys is to BATTLE. And you still have to do a hell of alot of battles to fill the crystarium.

I guess the enemy respawn is convenient for gil farming, but still you have to farm for HOURS just to get enough money for 3rd Tier.

That's what I'm saying, if you avoid any battles at all you're going to be hurting later on. It isn't possible to get through the game with only 10 non-boss battles; it's completely impossible.

Makes level grinding easier so I didn't mind lol. I enjoyed FFXIII thoroughly and platinumed it, but it's definitely not among the best of the series. I had many issues with the game when I started playing it, but by the end I still had lots of fun with it. Plus the story was really good

Made grinding easier for me, I suppose. The game's so linear, you won't eve nnotice until you get to Gran Pulse.

Dragon Quest 9 isn't really the same type of RPG, so you can't compare them.

thw whole monster spawning thing didnt really bother mean. it was more of the battle system. i felt that it had little to no strategy at all. in fact the entire gaem i only used auto battle. they shouldve just stuck with turn based like the rest of the main series.

Hah, well I intend to try it. My sister usually watches when I play FFXIII and she finds the battles boring so I try to avoid all of them. I've actually gotten to I think the 4 chapter so far and haven't needed to backtrack once. I do die a few times but a preemptive strike usually solves the problem(always low on shrouds though).

Let me know how that works for you when you get to the end of chapter 9.

If you do more battles your CP increases. I had to restart it though . .

Let me know how that works for you when you get to the end of chapter 9.

Is that when you reach then end of the ark? I had so much trouble even on the first run through when I played normally. Not looking forward to that but we'll see.
