Did anyone think that Asassin's creed 1 story was better than 2 or it's just me?

so is it me or there some people felt like it had a better story plus assassinations.

I liked AC1 better character wise ... but the assassinations in AC2 are better ... and the overall story merges into each other, so I'm assuming this is for character only

the pickpocket thing and the eavesdropping I did miss ... I liked listening in on what people were saying on the street and blending more
