Yeah it's on the homepage of gamespot lol. Which I'm sure everyone knows this by now. I don't think you can download it without the PS3 yet. I may be wrong though
Yeah it works. I can get on with the ethernet cord now and the game loads.
It shouldn't affect you if you don't have internet for your PS3, cause the problems were when the internet was connected. So if you don't get the patch cause an ethernet cable isn't in your PS3, then you didn't need the patch in the first place.
Mine failed the DL on the first attempt, but was succesful on the second. Didn't change anything, so I'm not sure why it worked, but it did. Maybe people just need to be persistent.......:?

As far as the online goes, I still get connection errors unless I host which seems to the case for the vast majority at the moment. Not experienced any freezing before or after patch. So it's pretty much the same as before with the online - it has only improved it by a tiny fraction. I had my first online game last night after a couple of my mates actually managed to connect but only after several attempts via invites.
