Did the new firmware updates effect Nat?

Hey, i just looked recently and my NAT dropped from 2 to 3, Coincidently after updating my ps3. Did this happen to anyone else or anyone know why it would happen?

i don't know, mine changes from 2 to 3 randomly, but yesterday i heard people talking on cod4 for the first time in ages so maybe it got better :D

The only thing any firmware has done for me is make the system run faster and smoother, so there is no need check the connection for me.

maybe cuz many people now have the same problem

mine got dc after installing the new firmware

Mine did the exact opposite. As soon as I installed 2.20, for the first time since I purchased my PS3, I got a NAT type 2!

Same here...I can now get into R6V2 online games and stay in them...so it's possible...

One person from my clan went from type 2 to 3 and he didn't know why. So the update might work for some people. I don't know.

I was speaking to a guy on this forum about this exact same thing recently. So yes it has changed some peoples UPnP settings, it happened to me quite a while back and that's when I gave up on Sony's implementation of UPnP and chucked my PS3 in a DMZ. It worked for me, and it worked for the guy I was chatting to on the forum when it happened to him. 0So if you're having NAT issues I suggest you do the same.00

i just notice a pink back ground instead of the normal black one did any of you guys get that also
