i remember hearing something about sony updating lair so that you dont HAVE to use sixaxis you can use the joysticks...has anyone heard of any updates?

yes it happened a while ago. movement is by analog stick the 180 turn is sixaxis. so if your thinking of getting lair its good even without analog stick.
