did you become a Sony fanboy after buying a PlayStation?

For instance... After you bought your ps3, you loved Sony's prouducts so much that you went out and bought a new tv and home theater system from them

i personally am like that exept insted of buying a tv, i bought a Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset :D

I'm not a fanboy of any console/company.

Why would you buy it if you didn't love it?

I have no loyalty to Sony, but I have had a PS1 and PS2. I'm thinking I might as well go ahead and get a PS3, and when I do, I'm probably going to get a Sony Bravia 32" HDTV, but not because of the Sony name, but because it's the best deal I've been able to find.

yup.. it seems like all of the exclusives are twice as good as xbox exclusives... The only reason i have a 360 is for left 4 dead and call of duty (which is better on xbox live cause all my friends have an xbox)

I'm actually Sonizing ( is that a word ? ) my room. Which means almost every device I buy is from Sony, because their products never let me down. And no, I didn't start doing that after buying the PS 3Leon_Kennedy1

Yeah. PS3 never really changed me, it's just that Sony makes very good and very reliable products. I, too, will be Sonyizing my room. I plan on getting a Bravia 32" HDTV, a PS3 of my own(getting tired of going across town every time I want to play a PS3) and probably a PS2 as well(missed out on a whole lot of games and really want to play Final Fantasy X). The only non-Sony electronics will be my PC(Dell), Xbox 360(Microsoft), and VHS/DVD player combo(Symphonic).

True. And I don't have any VHSs, so that feature is useless one my current player. But I'm not going to spend the money on a Vaio and I'm not getting rid of my 360.

I've been into electronics for years....sony is just one of my trusted brands..along with toshiba, technics,kenwood and a few more brands I can't think of. But I would say that sony makes up the bulk of the electronics that I own.

I can't say i am since i own both PS3 and 360, but.... I prefer my PS3, cuz its much better then any consolein every way. :)

I own a few Sony products but I'm not a fanboy. I love my PS3 but I don't dislike any other consoles, I have grown up with the Playstation brand so it is always my first choice.

Nope. I bought a PS3 because there were not enough games on my other console to keep me interested, that's about it.

I own a Sony Ericsson phone and Sony headset, but that's about it. They make good products though, I gotta admit.

That being said, after buying my PS3 and playing MGS4 I went and bought some old classic "Sony" games to keep me up to date such as MGS essential collection (never had played an MGS game before the 4th) and God of War I and II. I'm also looking to find games like Shadow of the Colossus and others.

i've been a fan of the Sony brand before I ever played a Playstation console ( that being the PS1) so I can say No to your question. hey if the PS3 turned you into a fan then that's cool because I feel that Sony makes quality electronics. sure there's better out there, but for the price and the value for what you get Sony is hard to match.

No..I was already a Sony fanboy since I got my first Walkman (back in d early 90's)...I just Love Sony products...Everything from my tv to my sound systems around the house are equipt with Sony speakers,components and even wires...

I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a Sony fanboy, but I've always been able to trust Sony products. My PS2 was always reliable, my PS3 hasn't had any problems, and I personally find Sony TV's the best so I got a 32" Bravia for my room, and when I move out hopefully in the next few weeks, I'm getting a 52" Bravia XBR9 for my living room and a Sony Blu-ray player for my room since my PS3 will be in the living room. I'm also buying a PSP on Tuesday to add to my Sony collection. I still love my 360 though so I won't say I'm a total fanboy, but I do tend to lean towards Sony products due to the quality and reliability.

I am a fan of a company who makes great, trustworthy products. Sony just happend to be it.

Well, I can't really say i'm a fanboy of Sony. I mean, I bought a PS1 PS2 and PS3 when they all came out.

But really..if you ask me, if Playstation was made by say..Panasonic, people would still buy it. People don't really care about brands when they buy game consoles. To some up what I just said: People buy things like PS3s and don't really care about brands.

Not a fanboy, but I do like Sony products for some reason.
I think it is because they deliver quality and design.
Only thing that bugs me sometimes is their prices, in some cases they are more than other companies.

I bought my 32" Bravia HDTV a few months ago and last month ago I bought my PS3.
I've had a PS1, PS2, 3 PSP's, a Sony camera, Sony Discman, even an old Sony Walkman (those old ones, with cassettes).
Sony Memory Sticks, Sony Ericsson phones, even an old Sony phone (back in the 90'ies), and probably a few more other things.

And yet still I'm not a fanboy, I just happen to like their products a lot.

Fanboy is just another way to say arrogant. I try to stay open-minded about all consoles. I obviously have a preference towards one console over the others (Sony), but that doesn't mean I have to hate the others just because I like one more than them.

You do have to admit that they're starting to do the right things now though. I know I didn't think very highly of them when they launched the PS3, but now it's picking up it's game and I'm alright with it now.

True. But compared to launch they're headed in the right direction. It's now half the original price and the library of games is now as good, if not better than, the 360. The 3.0 firmware update was there one chance to bring some new features to the table, but instead of bringing cross-game chat they decided to add sparkles to the background...I'm still sticking with the idea that a PSEye should be bundled with the PS3, but I doubt that'll happen. Hopefully they'll actually start paying attention to what people want (it's a long shot, I know) and implement those features eventually, but for now I think it's on the right track.
