Did you enjoy the jak and daxter demo?

I thought the jumping was a bit different and the melee combat is a tiny bit stiffer. The air combat was better than i first thought and the shooting is ok for the psp but i wish the blaster had i tiny bit faster fire rate. As for dark daxter im still pondering. Overall i feel better about all the negativity about it cause it doesn seem that bad at all. Plus the graphics are very nice and look pretty close to the ps2 games.You upgade through the four main eco, i choose the first yellow upgrade and nowevery time i punch i also shoot a fireball (exact same asjak and dax the precursor legacy).Plus you can put back jaks goatee if u want too.

Hmm, It reminded me alot of dexter the enviroments and the art style. I actually enjoyed the flying sections quite alot. Everything came to a screeching halt at the end when I played as echo daxter though. Reminded me of sonic unleashed which is NOT a good thing. Everthing else is fine. Ill wait for the reviews before I buy this one though.

this is a platformer. every hands-on preview i read about this game, they said the camera angle still sucks, platforming is awkward, and since daxter had a jet pack(bug spray) in daxter, and jak doesn't, its harder to double jump and land on the right platform. a lot of times while trying to make a jump you fall to your death. to be honest i am tired of platformers. trying to make a jump where the camera angle sucks and falling to my own demise in a lava pit or whatever is getting tiresome. psp platformers really need to redefine itself for the psp. cuz whatever they are doing right now is broken half the time. also they said the flying bit is fun but the combat and platforming is bad.

the first link is joystiq hand-on preview and doesn't have anything going for that game.

the second link is IGN's hands-on preview. the writer says there are camera issues, but is still looking forward to it. I saw the video, and the game looked decent. will have to wait and see!

i thought it was a great demo! I'd put it up there with Secret Agent Clank. I might get this game for christmas or something. on my "to get list" id say.
