Did you notice this in MGS4? ( POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

I remember in the Mission Briefing for Act 2, and I go upstairs where Sunny hangs out with the Mk.II and when I looked at the table int the room there was a virtual PS3 and PSP set on the table! Also, I found an apple computer nearby where Otocan works. I thought that was pretty weird.

MGS4 does a lot of product placement. THe ipod and apple computers, Vamp's Sony Ericsson phone. And sunnys PS3 and PSP, which you can see her playing that penguin game on which was Kojima's first ever game

What about the fight with Screaming Mantis? If you change your controller port, or called Cambell. Or after the fight when Psycho Mantis showed up? That is all pretty weird too, albeit darn funny!

to be honest.. I can't see, or think it's bad that there are real life products in a game.. When their primary element isn't to advertise, I prefer it actually.. For instance, the phone is used as, well surprise a phone.. Would you rather have a phone that had a Mutahbileo logo on it (that was fictional btw) or a proper phones name?.. I mean, as long as we don't have in-game commercials for the phone, whats the big problem?.. Tbh I find it more immersive if the products are related and are blended in to the 'enviroment'.. Makes it realistic..

As for date / products.. I reckon that the world seen through Kojima and his teams' eyes, isn't the same world we live in.. So even though it's in, what 2014 or so?.. I could still make sense that the ps3/psp was the current gen (that was to brace myself from the inevetible "omg, but why is there a ps3 in the future!!")

They use apple computers and laptops all the way through the game.

I dont know if you know but(MAYBE A SPOILER TO SOME PEOPLE).......................................... you can use the mk2 to get an "easter egg" in one of the briefings if you use the mk2 shock on the remote control on the table it puts a slideshow of models on the tv instead of campbell.

Also if you touch Sunny,raiden with the mk2 you get raiden face camos, theres a few others aswell, people probably already knew this but just incase you guys didnt.

They also asked Coke, Pepsi and Red Bull for Drebin's drink. All 3 turned Konami down. You'd figure they'd try and get their products in a game.
