Not at all. I can't say any video game is "scary".nyc05
I recommend you to play Silent Hill games (original or restless dreams) around 2:30 am until the morning.
To me, Dead Space was very slightly scurrry. I was more "startled" when an enemy would pop out unexpectedly out of nowhere, than creeped out or terrified.
How can you be that scared by those games though raven, like the original silent hill the graphics looked bad so it was totally up to the atmoshpere but usually if a game actually looks real its scarier i dunno its hard to explainhotfireeYou just said how. The atmosphere. Also the pacing and the combat. I feel over powered in games like Dead Space. Playing on normal, I died once in Dead Space, and that was because I ran out of oxygen. I love my survival horror games to actually give me a run for my money. Actually have some sort of... SURVIVAL aspect to it. Dead Space had alot of blood, alot of guts, and alot of ugly creatures, but its gotta do better then that to scare me.
it wasn't scary. it was startling. it made me jump a couple times. just because of something random. but still it had a very good atmosphere and all around good...well everything. i can understand why some people might find it a little scary.
btw i played the game at night with the lights off, 7.1 surround, and nobody else around.

I've played those, Dead Space and many other "scary" games, and I still say that a video game isn't scary.
