ahhh wth this is pissing me off.... I dunno how in the world but dust & dirt have gone under my LCD screen.... when I first got my PSP, the first thing I did when I got it out of the box was to put screen protector on it, and now after like I dunno 8 month? Bunch of dust and crap have made their way under my screen... has anyone had to deal with this? any solutions?

yes it seems alot of people have experienced it.  Why sony didnt seal the screen off I have no clue.  But there's no way to get rid of it unless you open up your psp.  I think the dust gets in through the button holes.

If you use a clean cloth and are cautious you wont have any problems.

I can give you a few steps to make sure you dont have any dust under the screen before you screw it back together. If you decide to go under the faceplate PM and i'll try to help.

I'll probably do it cuz this sucks, but wouldn't using compressed air to blow of the dust from under the screen be better than using a cloth?

It was bothering me too until a few days ago I took the faceplate off and dusted the screen off with compressed air. It's actually really simple.

The two holes on the buttom are the speaker holes. I know dust can get in there, but i doubt it could get into the screen from there.

And yes, i'm  having the same problem. I got a fair amount of dust inside my screen. it's starting to bug me and i'm considering opening up my system to dust it out. The warranty is already expired. I wonder if there's any way to 'seal' it so that no more dust can get in. That way i wont have to open and dust out again in another year or so...

I also had the same problem with my GB Pocket, Game Boy Color, and my GBA. I've actually replaced the screen cover for my GBC and GBA (replacement screen covers are, or at least were, available for purchase from nintendo.com)
