Tbh, I've bought PS3 mainly because it has motion sensing (and for 200 other reasons as well, but I was hyped after playing motorstorm with 6axis). But after that I've realised that apart from Motorstorm, Lair, Formula One and a few other games nothing is really happening with the 6axis controls (and I have to say, I really like them). One game that I bought for the PS3 cause of it is GTA4, the bad thing is that you can't drive cars with 6axis :-/ I'm very disappointed with the absence of 6axis support for games like Dirt or Grid, a real shame, IMO Sony is not pushing developers hard enough in that field. How do you guys feel about it ?

You need to give it time. Games take so long to make now. Most are a year and a half to make. So it could be another year for some real good thing to happen with it.

Ah the classic ps3 owner response "give it more time" lol and yes sony dont seem to really care about six axis probaly because they never ever cared about it in the first place it was just a stupid gimmick.

One 6axis game I was really excited about was Wipeout HD, but it seems it's cancelled now 0_O or at least seriously delayed.

Well I think that with a little push from Sony Codemasters could've successfully implement tweaked 6axis support from Motorstorm into Dirt and Grid. I mean, if its good for a sim like F1, it must be good enough for semi-sims like Dirt and Grid.

Yeah, I agree that PS3 is all about giving it time, the bad thing is that the owners miss out on some things that should've been provided by Sony. I hope that at least after some time Sony will keep their promises.

On the other hand next Xbox is in development for over a year now, so it may be too late for Sony to recover before the next hit from M$ :-(

A typical jealous gamer response from someone who can't bare the fact that PS3 is better than the console they own! Take it to the syystem wars forum!

i like it to be used in small things in games. for example, keeping your balance in drakes fortune or free falling in ratchet and clank. or in resistance, shaking off fire or air fuel grenades

No i enjoy playing with my controller i don't need the six-axis function, really you have no control of the game and the skill goes far away. But i enjoy a lot the dualshock 3 controller, the one that i waited from beginning.

Sixaxis just feels like a mediocre feature.

Ehh, it definitely seemed like it was a last minute decision partly because Sony at the time was being sued for the rumble technology they used in the DualShock controller for copyright infringement or something and so instead of giving you just a normal controller, I guess they just decided to add motion control.

I think Lair's reception from critics and consumers alike killed any reason for Sony to have any game fully depend on SIXAXIS control.

The only games that utilize it well are flOw and Folklore.

Never really cared for it from the get go tbh. I always thought of it as a gimmicky feature...I mean, games that have had it were alright n pretty basic you know?

But seriously, I cant say im dissapointed for it. I knew it would be flop...But socom confrontation has a cool way of using it...

Folklore has the best sixaxis support by far, it's really fun and a big gameplay element compared to balancing yourself on wood (looking at you Uncharted) haha.

I've been quite pleased with the Six Axis support, I like using it for small tasks, like aiming your grenade throw in Uncharted, flying in Ratchet and Clank, reloading your weapon in Siren.

Get Burnout Paradise, it's a great game that supports sixaxis
