Having previously owned and played the 360 version, I can say that the PS3 version is sort of dissappointing. The voice chat has terrible feadback from other peoples mics, the graphics are nothing special. Online play is ok, sometimes people jump around I guess due to lag. I am not saying it is a bad game but it does not compare to the 360 version, mainly due to the fact that all ubisoft games are designed to run on the 360. Both systems are just different and maiking a 360 game work on PS3 I guess is hard. Maybe that will change in time. All in all RB6 vegas is not a bad game at all, you will have fun with it, but if you have both sytems I would not even touch the PS3 versionmfarris2006
having played the 360 version you should know that the graphics were nothing special there either. Yes they're slightly better on the 360 but nothing mind-blowing.

"All Ubisoft games are designed to run on the 360"? Which part of your head did you make that up in? Are you saying that before Assassin's Creed was planned to be a multiplat, and it was just a PS3 game, they designed it on the 360? That seems a little backwards.
Anyway, 45 posts, keep working at it.
Out of like 40 rounds I played today exactly 1 was lagged. Yeah that shooting noise is annoying but im preety sure it will eventually be patched up. But seriously stop with these over reacting words like "flop, dissapointment, bad port, etc." The only reason this game will not be fun online will be because of people like you who scare potential buyers away and then end up with an online community of 200 players. I love this game but it would be10x better with a bigger online community.Snake_mx11
i agree. WIth a larger online community this game will dominate for a while. I personally love this game and think its a pretty good port of a six month old game. People go buy this game and lets play online d*mmit!
on the 360 there was some lag too sometimes. but not that it ruined the game.
and yes, play it on 720P, not on 1080i

u need to relax, how is he a troll??? such an idiot
I am quite relaxed. How is he a troll? How is he not a troll? "Ubisoft games are designed for 360", and he mentions that the PS3 version is inferior in 3 or 4 different ways, while making sure to preface it with disclaimers like "you will have fun with it, buuuut". Only 45 posts and he just happens to be browsing the forums of a system he doesn't own, making posts? I'm free to assume whatever I want to assume, and in this case I smell a troll.
I also don't appreciate the elementary name calling from a guy that is too lazy to press a shift key or type a Y and an O. Yes, it is that big a deal.
The graphics difference between the two verison's arent night and day as some ppl would make you believe. Yes the textures are a bit more sharp , and the AA is a bit better on the 360 . But regardless it still looks very close to its counter part.
Graphics a side gameplay makes a game, why do we always forget that . How about some of the most popular online games like cs back in the day which was extremely outdated but everyone played it. This game has the gameplay down with a few glitches which should get ironed out in a patch ! From what I've played online the game is similar to the 360 and if your in a laggy server just leave since the host probably has a bad connection. The only real issue is the mic, so hopefully that gets fixed and then we will have a great online shooter!

Here here!! :D I can't stand trolls and love me some proper punctuation :D Please enjoy the intended pun :D
Dude you do need to relax. I am not a troll, nor did I say anything bad about the game. What I said was the truth. RB6 is a good game, the 360 version just looks better. All ubisoft games were desined with the 360 as the lead system, its a fact. I love my PS3 I am not trying to put it down. I am just a little disappointed in Rainbow for PS3 having played the 360 version. I look forward to playing more games designed for the PS3 that look way better then what has been seen on the system so far. Its a fact that most games so far look better on 360, I hope that changes down the road as developers learn to take advantage of the PS3 more. If that makes me a trol (whatever that means) you need to get a life and learn how to accept some criticismmfarris2006
Why are the graphics so important to you ? Its like I said before, the differencesaren't huge so for the ppl that dont have a 360 its a great game to pick up since the gameplay is still there !
I didnt buy this system for all the mulitplat ports but for exclusives, so if a game has a bit dullar textures which aren't really that bad then come on :P haha . Im more disappointed with darkness because that game is flawed with jaggies on the ps3 but vegas doesnt really have any so Im happy.
And come on lets be honestly any game that starts on the 360 will always look better on it unless its redone from the ground up since sony took a different route on there hardware its not easy as 123. So I can accept that ports just wont look as good but the gameplay will be there which is important.

The Darkness has jaggies?! And the nitpicking of PS3 games continues. How you people pick at games just amazes me.
Thanks that was the point of my first post. Then this dude called me a troll. Im just laying out the facts. Mostly all ubisoft games were developed on the 360 firstmfarris2006
Yeh I wasn't disagreeing but my agrument was looking beyond the graphics, and for some reason I have been temp ban or something since Im at lvl 1 . Oh well someone must have not liked my commet either way I disagree with them since that comment that was in question was a joke and also the truth but meh.

I dont mean to nitpick , honestly, I just used it as a frame of reference, I own the game and have no problems with it. I was just saying the jaggies are not visible in vegas but some are in darkness. Anyways back on topic :P lol

this game could have been great, it still can if the internet lag goes away. Graphics could have been better. And during online play when someone shoots the shooting noise still carries and gets louder and sometimes goes away and comes back. Anyone else get that? r_mueller21
as i said now and ill keep saying it. psn has free servers, meaning., you'll never get anything good from ubisoft, so, dont even waste your time. with them. same for activision. im telling everyone now, if its not a pay for service server, or ea. for get it. your just setting yourself up for a bummer.

Judging by the reviews the PS3 version is slightly inferior to the 360 version. I myself own only the 360 version and have not played the PS3 version so I cannot comment on this any further but what I will comment on is his(mfarris2006) post. ''All Ubisoft games are designed to run on the 360'', It is written a bit wrong as you said, I agree with that but I believe you missed the point. What I think he meant was that the PAST games were developed on the 360 as the main platform(exm. Splinter Cell: Double Agent). A slightly inferior version(depends on the developer).Thats usually what you get from ports. Am I right mfarris2006?
When it originally came out i bought rainbow for the 360 and since then its been my favorite shooter ever. Also i tend to think most fps on-line are boring but this one was just amazing i tried it with a the trial card that came for it for xbox live.
i didn't want to pay for live just for this game so when i heard it was coming for ps3 i couldn't wait. For those who have played the 360 version and actually liked it, there is no real difference at all in fact youll be to busy having fun on-line to even notice the graphics.
its just an all out great game and the online is free so i really see no downside. and who ever is nitpicking about aliasing or frame rate, there is no problem with either.
maybe some will notice it and other not but this i can guaranty if you like tactically shooters you will defiantly luv this game for those who like fps youll have a blast with this game and for those who just like tom clancy's crazy scenarios for the future of warfar youll luv this game lol
