Have you tried putting different games in? Is it all games, or just one? Also, will it read blu-ray movie discs? What about dvds, or ps2 games (unless you have a 40gb)? If it's just the one game, then it's the disc and not the drive. If it'll read blu-ray movies, but not blu-ray games, and if it will read dvds/ps2 games, but not anything on a blu-ray disc, then I would guess it is the blu-ray lens. In any case, you really ought to call Sony's tech support.

I just called sony. They sending a box over then they are sending me a new PS3. They said unless i find a way to put my game saves on something else, everything will be gone. I asked them couldn't they just switch the HDD with the new PS3 and she just said no. Now i got to delete everything in my PSP so i can save everything. 1 month and couple of days, my PS3 already messed up.

A refurbished console is a used one that has been inspected and fixed or had all the defective/broken parts replaced. It's like getting a used car from one of those dealerships that checks everything out really well and makes sure it all works. Sometimes you might have some minor cosmetic damage though.

a ps3 that was returned for technical reasonsor bcuz someone decided they didnt want it anymore. Sony cant sell it as new. so they inspect it and fix whatevers wrong with it. It's put through a series of tests and if it passes it's sold as a refurbished unit. Supposedly that have less than a 2% return rate. Let's hope thats the case if they cant send back my original ps3
