Dissidia +

Since I read that Dissidia: Final Fantasy was a downloadable game in Japan, I was wondering if they would (In the near future) support this game with addons through the PSN. The playable character list is an amazing 24 characters (I Think), but at the same time it is very basic. I am pretty sure many people (including me) would like to be able to use all those favorite side characters like Auron (FFX), Vincent (FFVII), or Irvine (FFVIII). What do you guys think?

Yeah, I'd like to see some side characters, but from FF's further back.

Add-ons would be perfect for this game since theres so many characters in the Final Fantasy series.

Meh, I don't need to see side characters in Dissidia, the point is to have the main character fight against their ultimate evil. I just hope to see Vincent, Shadow, Rinoa, and Bathier in the Kingdom hearts games.

I've just been playing the demo for this and it's got me even more excited... I gotta admit, DLC would be nice! Alternative costumes, new stages and weapons, new characters, the posibilities are endless!

I love how the music choice depends on the characters and the arena. I would rather have more music than costumes (the characters didn't ever change clothes anyways). However, I would hope they add an alternate costume for Kuja...

point taken, and i agree, the music was awesome, especially the one with a vocal track. Well, me and you should head up the petition for DLC now, the music thing has sold it for me =D

Ah, well now I wand DLC even more. I thought there were 24 because the wikipedia lists 24 different characters, I guess they are not all playable characters. As for Costumes and music, I don't remember there being many costumes in the final fantasy series unless you count some weird moments, such as the famous FF7 scene when trying to go "rescue" Tifa (that would be way to weird). I would in the other hand like to see alot of music too and though most of my knowledge about this game is through the playable demo, I would like to see tons of different arenas and weapons too.

I've been wondering about this too. I just want them to release Zack as a playable character.

Not true...Squall had a few different outfits(although they weren't interchangeable, if that's what you're talking about)

What will probably happen if there is any DLC is that they'll probably charge you for it (this is Sqex we're talking about) or offer some really stupid stuff, like new costumes, equipment, etc. I think the one thing they could add that would be great would be new maps. I've played the japanese version and there weren't many different maps, and you kinda got sick of them. I don't think adding new characters would be good because this is a game meant to please ALL fans of ALL the numbered final fantasies, and they can't have it uneven by having like 5 more characters from FFVII, 20 from FFVI, some stupid online crap characters from XI, or something. Idk, probably not gonna add characters, but like i said, maps would be greatrikguenther

I personally think new equipment would be an awesome idea, a really good way to add some longevity to the game, especially if it creates some interesting potential combinations with existing equips. I have no probs with SqEnix charging for DLC as long as it's a reasonable price. At the end of the day, it isn't free for them to make this content, at the very least they're paying the staff to make it (unless they have some kind of out of hours DLC-o-rama in the SqEnix offices, but judging from past experiences, this isnt the case o.o). I'd pay 3.99 for a content pack if it had, say, a few extra stages complete with BGM and some new equips to earn in em. Also, I wouldnt mind em releasing some characters to even out the roster a bit, as FF11 and FF12 only have one character from each. Also, FF13 charaacters for download (just one good guy/gal one bad guy/gal) would always be welcome to keep the roster fresh!
