I having trouble playing movies with the new update. I guess technically the movies I tried were XVID, I had a movie on that format already and tried that one and it worked, but when I downloaded another movie in the same format it said it was only 11 secpmds long. does anyone know any possibilities of why this happened.

A good chu8nk of xvid files were compressed when the format wasnt stable which means they wont work on future versions. Thats what you get for not using standards.

divx plays fine. Xvids have to be ripped to the harddrive (copy option) in order for them to play. you can't stream them either.

i used xilisoft video converter to make all mine. its by far one of the best converters around, its fast and it can convert pretty much any video format into a huge list of more common formats. the only catch is its not free but its well worth buying it does everything you will need
